Half sheet cake (half dark chocolate fudge, half white) with vanilla buttercream frosting. Hershey's Chocolate Frosting for the brown and black shades. Ivy and banana design over shell border inspired from other CC cakes. Used Runts candies for the bananas.

This cake was such a blast to make! :) The monkeys, bananas, and balls are gumpaste. It was for a client's four year old twins who love monkeys and whose birthday party was held at a gymnastics center.

I originally did this design for my son's first birthday--the bananas were his smash cake. I just did it again for a girl's 7th birthday. The darker brown is chocolate buttercream, the rest is regular buttercream.

Curious George cake, covered in fondant, Geaorge and banana's are made out of 50/50 fondant gumpaste mixture, the tip of the banana's are airbrushed thanks for looking

3-D RKT Monkey iced in Chocolate BC with fondant accents, sitting on an 8" marble cake. I loved making this cake, was lots of fun and much easier than I thought. Idea came from mykidsarekillingme.

This is a cake for my Dad. He plays an instrument called a Q chord. He wrote a song that when he sings the line "when she cried we howled at the moon", his little dachsund howls. So, I made him a banana pudding cake with him and the q chord and the dog singing.

Birthday Cake and cupcakes made for a special Go Diego Go birthday. I handmade Diego, Jaguar, Click, Rescue Pack, Monkey & Bananas out of gumpaste. The name & #2 I also made out of gumpaste. This pictures was taken before I added the gumpaste palm trees I made as well.

This is a banana cake made for a little 2 year old boy. All decorations are edible made either from marzipan or sugarpaste. The covering is fondant and buttercream. The children and men loved eating the monkeys head. While the women loved eating the bananas. Hummm they have problems I think!

I made this cake for my son's 1st Birthday, we call him our little monkey! I used the bananas out of a couple of runts boxes for the top of the bottom tier. I had custom invitations made so that they would match the cake design.

Made this for my cousin's daughter's baby shower. The monkeys were from a wilton's mold. All accessories are MMF including the banana pacifier. The bottle is candy melts and I used a bottle mold. The cake is all buttercream.

Ice cream cake, pastry pride icing. Head molded from melting chocolate in cookie cutter (from Coppergifts.com). Head was two sided, sandwiched between wooden cake dowl, eyes made of chocolate using the circular, daisy centers of a candy mold. Candy purchased at Sweet Factory: lemon gumballs, cherry sours, gummy bananas. Bananas painted with brown color on tips.

Cake is actually a Duncun HInes mix, Sams' BC & Michelle Foster's fondant. It was really yummy. I didn't have time to do anything by scratch, w/ the holidays & all. Wish I could have had less seams in the hat brim. The blue bar was for candles.

Made for my son's 2nd birthday to match the Mod Monkey 2nd birthday theme from Birthday Express. Cupcakes are banana with chocolate frosting and the yellow buttercream that makes the bananas (and is on the cake) is banana flavored.

I got this concept from several different versions I saw here on CC. Yellow cake filled with caramel, iced in chocolate buttercream, covered in MMF with MMF bananas. Whew!
