Made this for my friend's daughter's 2nd b-day. Friend provided the cake topper. Hat is mini wondermold. Covered in buttercream. Fondant big palm trees, bananas and flowers. They loved it.

Another baby shower cake - this time parents wanted Curious George. They don't know the sex of the baby and that's why George is holding a pink and a blue banana in his hands. I enjoyed making little monkeys on the side of the cake - I love their face expressions.

I did this for my son's 1st birthday. The banana is covered in bc with a fondant peel, Curious George is RKT with some copper wire arms covered in fondant. I was up until 2am finishing him and woke up to find him completely collapsed in the morning (hence the indentations on his face) + I had windows open in my house and the BC started softening. on the banana... what a disaster! You can see his yellow hat smash cake in the background. Nothing special to that.

cake for my son's 2nd birthday. had to use a plastic monkey :( my poor kids never get as cool a cake as other kids...too much to do for the party itself. bananas were gummys that i found at a local candy store.

Inspired by CarriM. French vanilla cake with vanilla bc, bananas mmf (banana flavor of couse) with painted details. I stopped counting bananas once I got to 200! George is plastic. TFL

Made for the Bedminster School's Back to School Night, this cake is four layers of banana cake with alternating layers of whipped chocolate ganache and banana schmutz (a recipe from baking 911 - bananas caramelized with sugar and rum!). It was iced in banana & a touch of lemon cream cheese crusting bc. The top is a frosting sheet where I traced the school logo (my printer ran out of blue ink!!).

3-D Baby Monkey Cake. This picture was taken before the finishing ribbon was applied to the fondant covered base. This little monkey is almost as cute as the one year old little monkey who got to eat him.

2 tiered Lemon Poppyseed cake with BC icing. This customer calls her daughter a monkey so she asked for a monkey themed cake. And thanks to inspiration from another CC'er this was my take on a monkey cake. It is a 6" on top and a 10" on bottom and all decorations are made from fondant.

I got the idea for this cake from "justveggin'" My daughter loves monkeys and I was trying to figure out what to do when I ran across the one mentioned above. My daughter loved it and so I used her favorite color of green as the base. The cake is made from the standup teddy bear pan. It is sitting on a 10" round.

The monkey and banana are fondant. The "fence" is made out of cereal straws.

A friend sent me a picture of this bouquet from a popluar cookie store. She asked if I could do one for her........so this is my attempt. It is okay, but I wish I would of had more then a day to do it.

This was for my youngest son's 1st birthday. Banana cake (of course!) with chocolate ganache filling, buttercream icing. The banana's were made with cake truffle "dough" and iced with buttercream icing. Thanks for looking!

10' half butter, half white cake with buttercream. Trees are fondant and pretzels, bananas are runts marked with edible marker. I assembled a lot of ideas from here to create this - thank you - and the b-day boy loved his George cake!

This was for my daughters 2nd birthday. It matched the invitations I made. The monkey on top is the exact replica of her very favorite and much loved stuffed monkey that she named Mimi herself. All done in fondant.

This cake was inspired by Kitagrl's Fisher Price Rainforest cake. I used a 10" and 5" round banana cake with banana cream filling. So much fun!

Three layers of banana/pecan cake filled with sliced, sugared bananas. Frosted with very creamy frosting made with butter, sugar, and fresh bananas. Very soft. Sprinkled with toasted pecans.

This is a two layer full sheet half n half. The red/ yellow stripes were applied individually. The image, letters, and bananas are all fondant. The "balloons" are gumballs. This cake was alot of fun! I am a CSM and as always- Thanks for looking!

I can't take credit for this cake, I saw it on another site. The monkey is made from the animal crackers pan and is sitting on a half sheet cake. I made the banana's from fondant.
