For a baby boy shower. I layed a bear cookie cutter on top of the cake and filled the inside with chocolate sprinkles. Before I took the cutter off, I pressed the sprinkles down into the cake so they would not spread when I raised the cutter. The balloons are gumdrops that I flattened and the strings are made from licorice strings.

Got this from a Wilton yearbook. I was really disappointed w/ how it came out. The theme wasn't as obvious as I had hoped it would be and I had to explain what it was :( Plus my baby looked more like a potato head w/ swamp thing hands. I am posting it so others who see it in the yearbook can look at mine to see how to go about it differently.

Very simple birthday cake. I wanted the blue to come out deeper, but it didn't. I need to use another blue next time. :( Basic yellow cake, soaked in simple syurp and no filling.

Each of the 2 tiers & the balloons on top are confetti cake. All iced with buttercream icing. Sugar cookies iced in buttercream as well. I used plain old curling ribbon for the balloon strings.

Hello Kitty face was cut from a sheet cake and covered with fondant. She has licorice whiskers. The balloon is iced in buttercream.

The idea for this cake was from a cake I seen here on CC. I made this and a birthday cake for a combo party. I want to thank the original decorator for the idea, both my cakes were a hit at the party, which made me happy as I am still new at decorating.

There were over 300 balloons covering the floor of this party. A simple balloon cake was in order. Half strawberry/half chocolate cake with bc frosting. Iced cookies for the balloons.

this is a cake for my friends son's 3rd birthday she asked for balloon's so i thought it would be cute to put a letter on each balloon ..... i just misjudged the space that i had on my sheet cake so i couldn't arrange them the way i saw it in my head...but it still turned out pretty cute (yellow sheet w/ whipped icing balloons are strawberry w/BC)
