My nieces & nephew's birthdays are very close together, so I had the idea to combine their cakes this way. Do you notice the cut marks in the cakes? I forgot to take the picture until we had started serving it, so we took the pieces and stuck them back in the cake...ha ha!

Customer needed a bouquet for a guy named "Mel" and wanted each cookie a different color. She was going to give it to him at a dinner so I put a real candle in the top of the birthday cake so they had something to light instead of cake.

Made this for a 1st birthday. Attempted to match the plates/napkins being used. All buttercream. Made the balloons by freezing the buttercream rolled in freezer paper and then cut into balloon shape. Hardest part of this cake was matching the colors. Advice for getting the frozen icing off without tearing it is to roll the buttercream REALLY THICK in between the freezer paper.

Friends daughter 2nd birthday. My friend purchased and made the cake and I went over Friday night and decorated it. It was weird having people, herself and husband and her mother, watching me decorate it. But I had a fun time with them. Still need to work on getting my stars closer together.

The cake is frosted in buttercream. I made the balloons and the strings out of fondant. I ran out of frosting and really didn't want to make anymore so I used M&M's for the border. I think it turned out better that way than it would of with frosting anyway

This is a bouquet I did up for a friend to give to a 6yr old boy who only wanted cookies for his birthday. I wish I could have gotten a pail that was closer to the color of the cookies. Oh well, it all worked out.
