This is a 3 layer BC French Vanilla cake with a fondant baby under a blanket for decoration. Need to work a little on making things more square next time, but it looked cute and tasted great!

The mom wanted a baby shaped cake, but had ordered 3 cakes for one party, so I went with a smaller block cake and put the baby on the side. The nursery is decorated in sailboats, so there is also a sailboat on one side.

4" double layers with BC and MMF accents Made this for a family member - and would think twice before doing it again. Difficult to get cakes the same. TFL!

Buttercream covered pound cakes. Letters are gumpaste. Teddybear is gumpaste.

These cakes were made from the jungle animals off of the nursery bedding. They wanted each animal on its own baby block cake!

I tried to incorporate as many baby shower ideas as possible for a very special lady having a little boy she's naming Caleb. Teri loves chocolate and peanut butter, so it is a very moist chocolate cake, and most of the cakes have peanut butter buttercream filling. Buttercream and chocolate buttercream were also used.

Baby shower. White fondant with blue accents. Rubber ducky, stroller, rattle and bottles are chocolate. I also made this cake in chocolate fondant. It's on my other pictures. They seen the chocolate baby block cake & requested one just like it but with white instead.

I didnt realise how hard those blocks are to do,any suggestions very welcome or i'm never doing one again.My God these are the ugliest i've ever seen.The client loved them anyway.TFL .

This is a Radio Flyer wagon filled with baby blocks. The wheels are Rice Krispies treats covered in Fondant.

Baby block cake for a 1st birthday. The birthday boys name starts with the Letter C so that is him in the C. I used a 14 x2 square and then cut it into a 6" block. All decorations are fondant and an edible image of the birthday boy. TFL

All of these pieces were made with chocolate fudge cake and peanut butter filling. The mama to be loves chocolate and peanut butter. All the frosting is buttercream in different flavors.

Two blocks - Vanilla cake, vanilla butter cream, other two - Chocolate cake, chocolate buttercream, fondant, hand painting. There is wood grain under the painting, but it didn't show up great in the photo.

I learned 2 things on this cake: don't put a lot of filling in a cake that has something kinda heavy on top of it and don't put the blocks so close to the edge of the cake. Letters on the blocks are royal icing (the front says AVA (the baby's name) - the top says BABY - and the backs of the blocks said ALISON (the mom's name). Everything but the letters on the blocks in buttercream

Chocolate fondant with fondant circles.rattle and blocks made from molded chocolate. My first attempt with molded chocolate so hopefully the rattle and blocks turn out better next time!

Iced in buttercream with fondant accessories. I learned alot making this cake! The blocks weren't as square as I had hoped... A learning experience for sure!

The lady brought me a photo of a similar cake with square tiers but it was huge so I scaled it down to 10" 7" and 3" rounds of yellow/fudge marble with french vanilla mousse filling. Iced in buttercream with gelatin butterflies. The baby bottle on top matched the party favors for the shower. Oh yeah - and tons of glitter!
