Made this cake for a friend, that is moving jobs. Thanks to Becky52 for her great idea. 12" chocolate cake with peanut butter filling. Buttercream and mmf bee's and flowers. TFL.

I had some friends that moved across the country so I made this cake for them. It is a 6' cake iced in buttercream. I used the #233 tip to make the hair although it didn't come out the way I had planned.

A fellow Army wife is leaving our German post for a post back home in the States. Facebook is her favorite "hobby" and how all of us Army wives communicate mainly. Cake is done in BC with fondant Facebook logo and fondant chat bubbles.

My third fondant cake, and what a challenge it was! Had not dealt with height before, and learned about support. Large pieces of fondant are challeging to handle, and does not like to be seamed either. However, the more practice the better I will get, right? Eyes and eye stalks are made of rice krispie treat covered in fonant. I may not be good at this, but I am having fun!

Book Cake pan covered with buttercream icing, edges painted with gold coloring and a final rolled fondant with frayed edges to resemble aged parchment. Handmade sugar Lillies assembled along the spine with a Purple ribbon to represent Christs resurrection and the loved one in heaven with Christ. Finally a printout of a beautiful paragraph titled "I'm Home in Heaven" on one side and a scripture on the other.

One of my husband co-workers are leaving and I decided to make him a cake. cake is red velvet with whipped choccolate ganache. everything else is all fondant. Thank you to so many of cc members for their ideas.

I made this for my niece Cheryl's going away party. She just graduated as a Chaplain's Assistant in the army and her and the rest of her family is moving to Alaska (military move) for about 3 years. It's a WASC, 13x9 all buttercream icing, except the Bible which is MMF. The cross was interestingly enough made out of a drinking straw and buttercream. It was the best I had at the time. lol. Army guys are toys! Thanks for looking! Enjoy!!

Made for our HR manager that was leaving our company (Lyca Till is Good luck in Swedish). Chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting. All decorations were made with fondant. I used a real zipper to make and indent on the fondant then painted in the silver. I got the idea from someone else on this site.

For a going away party for my best friend (she is going to visit her boyfriend for the summer) I was asked to make a cake by her twin sister. We decided on a baby penguin cake because her sister and her boyfriend love penguins. I stacked three cakes on top of each other for the body, and then molded the head, wings, and feet our of cereal treats. I frosted the cake using a star tip. This was my very first attempt at cake decorating, and I am very happy with the results. Everyone told me they thought the cake was a adorable, and thought it was tasty as well. I only wish it had not been so hot, because my frosting had begun to melt.

Made this suitcase cake for a friend who is moving to Rhode Island. Covered in fondant with fondant accesories. Made little "stickers" of all the favorite places we went together in San Diego.

Going Away Cake made to look like a moving crate. Wood is made with fondant-lettering is made with Tappits, other than the name/address, which I made with stamps dipped in icing dye (first time doing that but I thought it turned out pretty cool for the theme of this cake). I also used icing dye to "paint" the word Fragile (using stencils as a guide).

My coworker's son loves to rollerblade and is leaving for the navy this week. So, I drew a rollerblade with piping gel. White on white buttermilk cake layered with modified indydebi's cream cheese bc as filling, and indydebi's bc frosting on the outside. first time tinting my own piping gel.

10 rainbow chip cake with bc filling. Fondant over all. Fondant has been hand painted with the logo from the "Dancing Turtle Coffee Shop'. This was a going away present for a young lady who worked a the coffee shop and is moving away. Thanks for looking. Logo has been hand painted with brown food gels and vodka. Gold pearl dust has been added to Vodka for gold swirls.

Had a request for a cake that her son was being deployed and the family was having a going away party. She wanted it to look like a flag with a yellow ribbon - this is what I came up with. WASC with buttercream and fondant accents.

I got the inspiration for this one from another CC member (thank you) My coworker loves sock monkeys so I made her this cake for her going away. It's chocolate fudge cake with cheesecake filling and buttercream frosting. Decorations to include monkey are fondant.

This cake is for a boy who is just turning 18 and is one week away from heading to India for a stem cell transplant after being injured 2 1/2 yrs ago in a motocross accident. His mom and one of my best friends said she wanted it to have something to do with India on it. She loved it and thought it was perfect for their going away party. :) Half sheet....half choc half white with buttercream icing.

A friend asked me to fix a cake for her husband's 60 birthday so this is what I came up with after looking at several cakes on cc. The size is 10 x 15, simply white chocolate. The accents are all marshmallow cream fondant and the trip is chocolate covered peanut clusters. Sure was a fun cake to make. Thanks to cc for all the ideas!

10 inch square white cake, with vanilla buttercream frosting, and strawberry filling. All suitcase accents and exterior of cake covered with Fondx. Suitcase was a topper for a 50 cupcake tower. Design inspired by fellow CC member. Thanks for looking.
