I wanted to surprise him with the inside of the cake being camouflage.
I used three cake mixes. One chocolate, 2 yellow. Tinted one green and
the other with just a little brown. Then I spooned heaping spoons of each
color all over the pan. He loved it.

This is a horrible picture of this cake. Cakebaker57 thanks so much for helping me with the camoflage. The cake looked better without all the figures on it but that is how they wanted it. I hope I get a military order where I can do this agoin because I think the camo look is so much fun to do!

This is my son's birthday cake inspired by bcake1960. Choc cake with pastry pride and Rich's bettercream. Was hard pressed to find army toys ANYWHERE so the sizes were off, but he was happy with it so I was too.

This was for a friends little boy who wanted to have an "army man" theme for his 4th birtthday! It is an 8" strawberry cake with strawberry/ cream cheese filling and crusting cream cheese icing. My icing wrinkled when I smoothed it, but thanks to all of you who gave me suggestions on how to fix it next time! This is really simple, but it was fun to make!

Full sheet cake with 2 6" on top. For an Army change of command ceremony. Half wasc, half triple chocolate fudge. Cakes on top were strawberry. All iced in whipped BC. Edible images.
This was a huge cake, and surprisingly took a lot of time, despite looking simple!

The client wanted a check for her husband's Army Retirement. I drew this US Treasury Check on rice paper. Most of the info on the check represents something significant in his life. Chocolate Butter Cake filled with rasp. mousse. WC IMBC.

Long lost picture from 2004 when I first started decorating cakes. No fancy cake pans for this cake, (I didn't have any!!!) I had to buy 2 9x13 pans to make the main cake and used a mixing bowl to make the helmet. Ahh those humble beginnings. :) This cake was made for my husband's cousin who came home from Iraq.

For my son's 5th birthday, he wanted an Army theme, so I set forth making this camo cake. Again, my inspiration was from a fellow CCer with the camo inside. All the kids loved it. White cake colored 2 shades of green and chocolate cake marbled. Thanks for looking!

My son's 5th birthday party was Army themed, so I did the best camo icing I could. The kids loved it, the cake was camo inside, too. Thanks for looking.

This was a birthday cake for my brother in-law. I piped the camo pattern on with Crusting BC then used the melvira smoothing method. The dog tags are fondant, and I piped a line of BC and topped with dragees for the chain. I loved doing this cake, it was lots of fun!

I don't even know why I am posting this cake on here. I REALLY don't like it. My customer wanted a camo covered cake with army boots on it. I had a week to get it done until she called me and said she needed it earlier. So I only had a few hours to get it done. I wanted it to look soooo much better :(

This was my first attempt at a FBCT. It turned out OK. The cake is an ice cream cake made in the Betty Crocker Bake N Fill pan -- so I had to work quick!
