In celebration of my son earning TOP GUN (as in the movie, Top Gun, meaning 'the best of the best') in the Army, I made this double chocolate cake with chocolate and raspberry mousse. All fondant details. This is only my second fondant try. Thanks for looking. Congrats, Bill!

This cake was made for a man named Michael Mitchell, he went over to Irac and if you could keep him in your prayers, I would be grateful. The cake is a whole sheet, with buttercream icing that was airbrushed to look like camo. There were also little green army men and tanks for it, but I couldn't put the lid on the cake with out crushing them into the cake

This was made for a soldier who was reenlisting. He was going to Hawaii (lucky!) so I made the Hawaiian wedding cake that is in the recipe section. Yummy! Iced in BC with fondant flag, rope, and dog tags.

WW11 camo Sherman tank for DS's birthday to take to school. He was very particular on this one. I didn't have time to make it as realistic as I'd have liked. carved from 12x18 and 6" round.

This cake was five layers: an 11x15, (2) 9x13, an 8" square topped off with a 6" round. I carved the cake into a tank shape and then iced it in olive drab colored buttercream. The camo effect was done with an airbrush using green, brown and black.

This cake has fondant around the sides and then crushed cookies on the top to make it look like sand and dirt. The fondant didn't work so well this time around but i was happy with the results.

2- 8" square and 6" round carved to "tank" shape. BC frosting on yellow cake. Cake was also camo inside. I took out about 2 cups of batter and colored them green & brown and did random spots and carefully pushed it around so it wouldn't be as marbled. Fun cake for my son's 7th birthday. Thanks for looking

Each cake had military logo on it for grampa, dad and brother, for the branch they served in. Covered in fondant with royal icing plaques on top. This was actually a dummy cake I did for a cake show.

This cake is made from 2 8 inch square pans, cut to ractangles and stacked then the cut off pieces made the upper portions. I used licorice for the trims and fondant cutouts for the tire look. Cake is buttercream icing, airbrushed camo and a pretzel stick for the gun mount :) It was fun!
