I'm a beginner at cake decorating and this is my first tiered cake. It is an anniversary cake made with 6", 9" and 12" round cakes iced with buttercream icing. I used the pearl color spray over the icing for all the layers. The middle layer is yellow cake and the top and bottom are vanilla cakes. The large roses are fondant and the smaller roses are royal icing.

My mother and I did this cake together. It was for my sister and brother in law's 6th anniversary. They got married in December and had a Christmas wedding. It was the first time my mom had done basket weaving and the first time I made poinsettas out of buttercream icing. We didn't like the cake very much but my sister and brother in law loved it.

This cake was done for my uncle's 20th anniversary. It is a 12" and 8" square yellow cake. The lid is also cake. The bow and pearls are made with MMF. The lid is covered in MMF and the tissue paper is gumpaste. Both tiers and piping are BC. Overall I am very pleased with this cake. It is my first time trying the cornelli lace and my second stacked cake. Thanks for looking!

The topper of the anniversary cake.
It's 50/50 fondant/gumpaste heart, royal icing "lace" surrounding it, and royal icing 44 with silver dragees.

I was asked to make this cake for a friend of my grandma's.
It was supposed to be for January, when their 44th anniversary is, but sadly the woman is in the hospital and is supposedly in bad shape.

I made this cake for my wedding anniversary, trying to copy a cake from Margaret Braun. It looked easier in the picture but it wasn´t. I had many problems with this cake but finally it´s done. The bows are gum paste and the cakes are covered with fondant.

This cake could be used for an anniversary or birthday party.

Make cake-shaping strips. Then bend the strips along the shape of a "5". Pour cake batter inside the strips and bake!

One of my friends ordered this for her parent's Anniversary. I got this idea from one of the cakes on this site, and thought it was really cute. I liked the idea so I mixed it up with my own style and cute-ness. It turned out beautiful. Its a red velvet cake w/ cream cheese frosting using MM fondant. The flowers and ribbon are fondant too.

Here's what happens when bad writing happens to good cake! (It's one of my earlier cakes.) Good thing the client said it didn't matter, as long as they could read the names, it was OK. Fondant, royal icing roses, gold leaves. Thanks for looking.
