I made this for my Step mom's 60th Bday. We had her party at the Horse Race Track. All the decorations represent her life. Decoration are made from gumpaste, cake covered in Satin Ice fondant.

I carved this guitar out of 2 11x15 sheet cakes. Covered in MMF. Painted the "tie dye" on with a sponge brush and watered down wilton colors. Painted gold luster dust to match his real guitar. Next time I would do many things different but he loves it! Thanks for looking!

Made this cake for a 60th BD for a male. Had to be quick, so went with the choc overload idea on a carved #60. Choc cake, choc icing, with choc drizzle with choc dipped strawberries.

I did these for my grandparents 60th anniversary, all 88 of them! I put them in individual baggies and tied them with a ribbon and a thank you tag. ( my mom helped too!)

A 60th birthday cake for a surfer. All fondant with painted surfboards. Middle tier is a shameless copy of sugarshack's! They added this crazy flower candle that opened up, spun & played 'Happy Birthday' to the top at the party. I am a Critique Subgroup Member.

I LUV this cake!! Made it for a bridal show. Fringe was found in bead dept at Walmart and knew it would make a great cake! The ribbon the dangly things was fuschia, so I colored fondant fuschia & cut out the circles. Don't have fondant cutter sets, so I used my 2B tip for the large circles, a regular tip for the mid circles & good 'ole #5 tip for the small ones. Gotta confess I had fun making this cake! Cake is on a short acrylic stand, with tulle for that "sitting on a cloud" look. Big hit at show!

I dont really like this cake because I know it looks a mess! I should have rebaked these disastrous cakes but it was a last minute favor for a friend. Chocolate covered strawberry flavor covered in bc and mmf.

Not quite tie-dye, more like spin art (is that what it's called?) SC w/toba's glace. Darker ones are RBC, next time will let each color of spray food color dry before applying next color. Don't know if it shows, but a peace sign in middle of middle cookie. Thanks for all the helpful tips in the forum. Thanks for Looking :)

10" round. Candy melt shells. Poured sugar coral. Sand is a combo of Lorna Dunes, brown sugar & Pecan Sandies. Fun summer cake

I did this cake for my father in law's 60th birhtday celebrations. Thanks to Lambshack for the cute inspiration cake. I also used the party napkinsand plates for the number design on top. Done in buttercream with fondant accents.

My sister and I worked on this together for a relative's 60th birthday. It says "Welcome to the Groovy 60s." He has a jeep that he loves so we used the wilton car pan and cut away some of it to make more of a jeep shape.

Fondant peppers and buttercream icing. This was much more fun to do than a traditional over the hill cake!!! I really had fun with it.

Decorated for a 4 year old twin that loves Herbie. Mom wanted two cakes that fit in the 60's retro era. The other twin had a flower power cake for a girl Chocolate with buttercream. Had a time with frosting this and trying to keep those crumbs from coming through!! All in all she loved it and said I have made her son's day!

Mom wanted a cake for twin, (boy & girl) that fit the 60's era to go with a Herbie car cake for the boy. Enjoyed making this one! Vanilla cake with buttercream. Mom loved it!

This cake was done for my sister-in-laws father. She wanted to tell him that she bought him his dream car for his birthday, hence the Bel Air on the cake. The cake is done in buttercream with fondant accents.

When I'm in a hurry, this is one of the simplest fun cakes to do. Piped flowers in different colors is enough to brighten most days.

My daughter always feels "slighted" having her birthday so close to Christmas so I made her a FASHIONISTA Birthday Cake and took it to her class today for everyone to celebrate with her! (ha-ha) Vanilla cake covered in choco fondant, hand painted gumpaste,R.I. & rock candy for diamonds.

This is a spin on a cake I did several years ago that I called the Geezer Meter (it was round with sort of a spinner in the middle rather than the slide guage. All buttercream.
