I made this cake for my nephew's 9th birthday. He was having a 50's party so I thought the jukebox would be the most appropriate cake. The base is a 1/4 sheet cake with 3 loaf pans stacked on top and cut to shape. This was lots of fun!

This cake was a lot of fun in contrasting the two sides. Each element on the left has a contradicting element on the right. Many laughed at the duck feet in the polluted pond.

This cake was so FUN!!! And perfect for the perfect 'boy'!! A full sheet cake with an edible image of his high school graduation picture and then a coordinating picture of what his 'personality' looks like now on most days!! He really did love it! The 3-D butt of the a** is tootsie rolls and the end of the tail is a Riesen candy. The photo was wanted by his daughters the a** was wanted by his wife - I managed to come up with a saying to combine the 2! And there are 50 'candles around the cake. Thanks.

Made this for a co-worker's husband's 50th birthday. Chocolate fudge cake, with white chocolate buttercream and MMF. Used a new liquid shiny gold spray made just for airbrush for the top, bottom & accent pieces - worked really well!

Thank you lisaa3 for the inspiration on this cake. I made it for my husband's uncle's birthday this weekend. It was my first time using Frozen buttercream transfer. The first AARP symbol I made came out not looking so great so I redid it and was pretty happy with this one.

This was one of my first cakes...before I ever took a wilton class and still used canned icing! Luckily, the icing didn't melt off the cake before we ate it!

This is my 3rd or 4th guitar cake, this one was for a 50th birthday for a rock -n roll theme party. I tried a new system for attaching the strings, I like it best so far. I thank God for pre-colored Satin Ice - Red and Black - saved a ton of time! The back stage pass was printed on paper then laminated, I thought it added a special touch, I'd love to do this in gumpaste one day. Thanks for looking!!

Cake for the Cub Scouts Birthday Sock Hop Party. Made with the whipped frosting recipe from this website. Some of the details are in buttercream. Was going to make stacked tiers and changed to this design at the last minute.

5 9" x 13" sheet cakes split in half horizontally, then filled and stacked. Used plastic dowels for support in the bottom layer then wood dowels in the remaining layers. Covered in bc then fondant. Airbrushed the entire thing brown first then added the fondant accessories. Used silver luster dust also. The records are gumpaste. Thanks for looking. :-)

Stars made out of fondant and brushed with gold luster dust. Wire gauge was not heavy enough and the stars were too heavy to hang so I had to make adjustments. Thanks to Aine2 for how to make a loopy bow tutorial, someone for tutorial on chocolate drizzles, someone else for the advice to not look at the star while I was guiding the wire in...it really doesn't go through one side or the other when you do that.

I did this for someone at my church, and wasn't sure how to do GRASS with fondant... Um, it didn't go so well, but "at least it tasted good!" I was pretty happy with the rock path over the top, though. The numbers are white chocolate, and you can KINDA see the top of the white chocolate headstone on the back of the cake. You know, because it should be at the END of the road over the hill. At least, that's what I was going for. :D

50th birthday cake for my sister-in-law's husband. Done in all BC to match party ware. Well, that was the intent at least...it's times like this that I wish I had more artistic talent or an edible image printer! :-) '50' and headstones are candy molds. Thanks for looking!
