Our friend just found out he's the father of a 19-year-old son who is in
the 82nd Airborne, so I made this cake for the party he had to introduce
his son to everyone over Memorial Day weekend

Used a white cake, divided into three bowls. Dyed one bowl red and another bowl blue with food coloring. Baked the remaining plain white, layered the three, iced with white icing and put dyed coconut on the sides. blue icing and red hots for accents. This was actually for a friend who was accepted into the fire academy, so topped it with a fire truck.

I made this cake for a Memorial day BBQ. I guess I should have taken a pic right after I finished it...it sat in the sun and melted pretty badly. It looked much better before, I promise! :-) The seeds are upside down chocolate chips.

This was for a birthday party. The number of stars are the recipient's age. It's a double layer white cake with buttercream icing. Except for the shells at the bottom, the entire cake was starred.

For a Friend's daugther's,Red White & Blue theme. Cupakes are white and choc. with colored BC & matching choc. wafer grad hats or diploma. Cake was Gluten Free covered in BC, I made the Ski equipment for the Ski Champion from Gumpaste (first attempt). I had planned a Fondant graduate like ladyonzlake but I ran out of time, (having a baby 12 days earlier really takes a lot of energy) Only had skin stuff done.) Thanks to Rainbow for sheet cake pic w/grad choc. It all turned out & they were really please.

Cake for a retired navy man who served on the USS Eberle. Three edible photos of the Eberle, MMF flag, candy melt anchors, everything else is BC. 10x15 cake (half choclate half amaretto butter), apple struddle & vanilla pudding filling. My hand writing is getting better....but I have a LONG way to go! Thank you to MAC for the help on the fondant flag!!

This is WASC cake tinted pink to look like the inside of a watermelon, chocolate whipped cream filling and iced with IMBC. I used mini chocolate chips for the seeds. It is for a 4th of July BBQ that we are going to.

This cake was for a backyard 4th of July party. I didn't get to take
the picture until after it was delivered to my son's house, an unfortunately it was photographed on their washer, so sorry about the horrible background.

My husband's coworker wanted this for her son's 9th birthday, which is a couple of days before the 4th. I don't think the pic will show it (it didn't when I looked at it on my computer), but the bottom border is 3-tier ruffle, and the flag cake on top has a 2-tier ruffle. I really enjoyed making this cake, and they loved it. Whip cream (stabilized) with fondant stars and spirals. Fondant stripes covering posts holding the "fireworks." Yellow cake with strawberry cream. Fresh berries and chocolate words.

Cake was for a couple celebrating their 37th anniversary (which is July 3rd). Customer wanted something really special for her sister who is terminal and BIL . It was important to me to do something good and when I came across nanuk's cake on CC I just knew I had to try it. My cake is the scaled down version of her piece of absolute perfection. White cake on base, Carrot cake on top...and boy it was hard to level that thing with all the nuts and raisins!!!!

The top cake is classic white that I added blue food coloring to and the bottom is chocolate. I went with the 4th of July theme since class ended on the 1st and the teacher said we could make any cake as long as it was tiered
