As a thank you for my cousins wife, I made her a cookie message and mailed it. She has given me so many of her daughters clothes for my daughter, so I wanted a special thank you. I vacuum sealed them in the heart bags and taped the bags to a poster board to hold them steady, then put them in a tissue stuffed box...hope they make it safely. The regular cookies I made for a social event with the remaining dough. I bagged too early and messed some design up on the clothes cookies. Live and learn!

I made this for our school counselor who was going to a different school. They wanted a goodbye/ goodluck cake and I thought this was good enough. My sis and I made an actual cake like this once for someone at her work, and I decided to use it again!

I decided to practice with my chocolate transfer sheets and make thank you cakes instead of thank you cards for my daughters teachers. These are 6 inch, white almond sour cream cakes with buttercream. I used an edible image for the actual thank you message.

i made this cake for a friend of my mother's, who handcrafted my boys each a cute gift. it is vanilla cake with peanut butter mousse filling and a whipped ganache frosting. it was my first time using this kind of frosting (i made up the recipe myself) and it was kinda hard to work with.

I made this cake for my neighbors. We had a huge snow storm and I had to shovel a 4 car driveway by myself because all the men were away. The snow was up to my thighs (I am only 5 feet tall) and I was struggling when all of a sudden their teenage son came to my rescue with their snow blower. I made this as a thank you. I think this was the 4th cake I ever made. I put 3 snowmen because they have 3 children.

My daughter had a helping hand in this. She wanted to help make it for the lady that cut throught the red tape to get her into Head Start. She helped put the icing on, then didn't want me to smooth it out, thats why it is kind of smeary. She helped cut out the circles, and put them on. The headstart lady was really surprised, and was tickled because my daughter helped.

I made this cake for Administrative Professionals Appreciation Day. The roses were a disaster...the icing was so melty from too much milk and hot frustrated hands I had to freeze the cone middle before I could add petals. Oh yea...and I learned not to start basketweave on both ends of the cake to meet in the middle lol.
