This was baked and decorated last night at my son's request. It was my first CCC - and his. We made it for the teachers and staff at his school. He did the writing on it! (he's 9). Yellow cupcakes with buttercream icing.

I made this cake for our pastor's appreciation day which was also his farewell. The colors were really a challenge since I was told the colors had to be red and yellow which don't really go together. The icings is buttercream, streamers are ribbon and other decorations are fondant. Thanks for looking.

This cake was made for the nurses in the ICU ward at Hillcrest Hospital. The bear nurse has the Hillcrest logo on her hat and I used the Hillcrest "blue" for the cake. I wanted it to kind of look like a thank you card.

This was a Thank-You cake for my daughter's school teacher, at the end of the school year. Black Icing is Cooked Chocolate Icing, Chalk and Duster is homemade fondant, and the rest is buttercream. The cake is a 2 tier Devil's Food Cake made from scratch.
Unfortunately, we have been having torrential rains and flooding here, and the weather is really humid. Hence ... cracks in the black icing which refused to set hard.
My daughter was really happy with it.

This was a last minute cake I did for our realtor for being so nice to us. It turned out darker than I wanted. You know how buttercream can do sometimes.

I wanted to make a cake for my bf's parents since they have been letting me use their oven since mine hasn't been working and this way I got to practice my cornelli lace. I am not happy with the way it turned out... but it's better than the last time... it just kills my hand. I can do it great on paper then when it comes to doing on a cake, forget it!

My husband was taken via ambulance to the hospital last week for chest pains. (He's okay, thank you! :) ) This van pan caught my eye in the closet, calling out to be an ambulance as a Thank you to the fire dept. for taking good care of my sweetie!

It's teacher appreciation week at my son's school and today's theme was "Hugs and Kisses." We were asked to bring in Hershey Kisses for them, but I thought they might like something different. So I came up with the idea for the heart and lips (made using a football cookie cutter!) and wrote a little poem that almost, but not quite, rhymes for the note to tie to the bag. They were a hit! No fail sugar cookies with Antonio74's Royal Icing.

Here is a cake I created to thank my son's preschool teachers for their hard work this year. Each leaf has the name of a child from the class. I had a hard time attaching the flowers to the sticks (I used watered down mmf). Next time, I think I'll try Royal Icing and see if they will stick better with it. bc icing with mmf gloves, flowers and seeds packet.

I wasn't too happy how this cake turned out. The icing was to stiff and cracked a lot. But, everyone else thought it looked nice.

This is my first cake. It didn't turn out as well as I hoped, I was going to add peanuts and use other colors but the girls in our class took all of our bags. That's why the pink is muddy with blue. I like the idea, though, since I love elephants, and hope to try again. I think this design would look better on a larger sheet cake. This is for my vet, who made my very sick dog well again.

This is my mother's first cake (I have her permission to post it) from our cake class. She wanted to put a balloon in his mouth but did not have the right colors. We are bringing this cake and the elephant cake to our vet, who helped our dog a lot.

This 1/4 sheet cake was made for a nice lady who is always willing to go the extra mile and help anyone she meets. One of her co-workers asked me to bake her a cake that simply said Thank You. She was so surprised.

Made this to say thank you to the response of a funeral. I tried to find different ways to say friend. I used an online thesaurus.

My aunt commissioned me to make this big cookie for my sister who is a dermatologist. I had to do a rash. It cracks me up. Gross! Toba Garrett's butter cookie with her Glace' icing, Martha's meringue royal and Satin Ice fondant bag.

My dog ran away yesterday (grrr!!!) and as I was trying to chase her down with my two young children in tow, a neighbor that we hadn't met yet came out and offered to go find the dog for me. He was gone for a while (In the 95 degree heat), and came back with our dog. I made him this cake in appreciation. It is a butter cake with buttercream icing and MMF accents.
