This cake was made for 15 year old twins. The party decorations were bright and colorful so I tried to imitate the colors on the cake. I was not too pleased with it but the girls liked it.

Well guys the valcano and the cake turned out great, I put a shot glass in the top of the valcano and some dry Ice and it was smoking.

Thans for the great words and advise, this was only the 2nd cake I have done, and I am thinking that I am not done yet!

Made for Mother's Day for a friend's girlfriend. He wanted it to be the sun and to say 'Hanne Zonnetje' (which means Hanne - little sunshine). I added some orange pixie dust to the suns rays, just because I thought it looked so boring! He loved it though, and paid me twice as much as I asked for it - hooray!!!

I actually did this cake for a demonstration for classes. I came up with the idea from a cake in a book I just purchased, but I changed it up to do the whole cake in buttercream. I wanted to keep it simple enough so people wouldn't be intimidated by the design. The colors worked better than I thought they would!

this cake was made for my mothers co-workers to celebrate mothers day. I used buttercream icing. the cake sank in the middle so I added a smaller layer on top to cover it up. you can see that I tried to cover it with the icing. my mothers co-workers liked it.

I made this cake using the checkerboard pan set. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the inside to show how the checkerboard pattern turned out. I used strawberry filling between each of the three layers.

This was my fondant cake for class. I just put the yellow bow on it. My mom has a daycare, and one of the parents asked what i was going to do with the cake becuase she needed a cake for someone at work. so i came home on my lunch break and threw some daisies and writing on the cake and sold it to her. i had the daisies pre-made, so putting it together was literally a "piece of cake"

This was my first ever baby shower cake, and first time to use edible images. I paid a local shop for the images and had NO idea they would be that big. I thought they would be the same size as the original scanned...oops! The theme of the shower was "under construction" thus the reason for the vivid colours. I took some mini oreo's and crunched them to make it resemble asphalt. The cake is a yellow butter cake, it has 2 edible images, and "traffic/construction" signs. Constructive critiquing is welcome.

This is a golden buttercake w/ almond buttercream frosting. The cake was made for a cakewalk at our church Harvest Party. Instead of colouring the frosting I left it white, and bought some orange and yellow coloured food spray and sprayed the cake. I did the spray outside, and being that it was windy, the colouring was blown onto the white part. I had fun making this cake though.

I made this cake for a Double-40th Birthday Party for 2 of my best friends Evelia and Aide. I didn't want to make an Over the Hill cake because my friends are always very happy people and I thought that a black and white cake it was going to be too boring and depressing for them. They loved the cake!!! The party was in October, so I used autumn colors.

This cake was SO easy to make! It is made of yellow cake and BC frosting. I glued a1 inch by 1 inch peice of styrofoam to the cake board. Baked 2 loaf pans of cake for the trailer part and then placed them on the stryofoam and trimmed them to be the same size (remeber to secure them to the stryofoam by wooden pics or straws!). I then carved about 3/4's of another loaf of caked for the rig. I used Oreo's for the wheels and silver pipe cleaners for the stacks.

This was for a little boy turning 1. It is a 11 x 15 carved to look like a crayon box and icecream cones for the tips of the crayons. Also had to make 5 dozen cupcakes with a crayon candle in each one. I also made a 4" smash cake, but it is not in this pic.

This was made for my husbands boss. She is just about the nicest lady you could meet. The daisies are made of fondant, pressed into the buttercream, then airbrushed with yellow, orange and pink.

I had a left over layer of cake so I decided to play. I decorated this in the Mary Englebreit style in honor of my Moms birthday coming up..(its too expensive to ship one to her). I like it. Never done a wedge cake before. It was fun

This was my course 3 fondant present cake. I had troubles with the fondant...it was too stiff or something and kept tearing. Thank goodness for the flowers because they covered all my mistakes! ;-)

This cake was for a multi-birthday celebration for my family. Lemon, white w/ strawberry, and white w/buttercream all covered with yellow fondant with a white fondant circle placed on top. The orange is painted on, but it didn't turn out like I wanted (very streaky and sticky) so I won't be doing that again. The daisies are made of fondant/gumpaste mix. This was my first time using the wires and I had a hard time bending the wires because I was afraid of breaking the flowers. Thanks for looking!

This is the top tier of a bridal shower cake that had cupcakes on the lower tiers, I ran out of buttercream at 1am so that's why the daisies have no centers! :)

There are 75 cupcakes, 1/2 are magnolia vanilla with vanilla buttercream and the other 1/2 are chocolate with peanut butter frosting, all have daisies on top that match the bridal flowers, but just like with the cake, I ran out of buttercream at 1am and didn't have the strenth to make more for the centers of the daisies! :)

Applesauce Cake with Cream Cheese Filling and Buttercream Icing. The yellow and orange flowers are gumpaste, rest buttercream with piping gel used for the water. The sides were done in basketweave with rope borders top and bottom. Finally I did something original!
