These are some of the cookies I made this year as Thank You's to friends and teachers. Just BC icing w/ the large clear sprinkles to give them that "icey" look.

Took this idea from WBH. Not too shabby for my first attempt at chocolate snowmen. It was a fun cake and I hope my DD's MIL likes it. Spice cake with Cream Cheese Buttercream and chocolate decorations.

This is a scaled-down version of a Colette Peters design. Wreaths, garlands, bows, top ornament and decorated tree are all royal icing. Ornaments were painted with gold luster dust.

This is a cake that I did for an office holiday dinner. I volunteered to do the cake; I figured it would give me some exposure on folks not only seeing my cakes but tasting them as well. It is the white almond sour cream cake covered in Satin Ice and painted in pearlized luster duster. I decorated with some fondant trees and snowmen and edible pearls and the snowflakes are white chocolate, also dusted in pearl luster duster.

I had a chocolate cake in the freezer and had an extra layer of pound cake so I added some orange flavor to the pound cake and torted the layer and alternated choc. and orange filled with orange flav cream cheese butter cream. I have been working on the snowflakes for some time now and finally got to put it all together.

This is a 12" yellow cake with butter/crisco buttercream icing and filling. Penguins and tiles are fondant. I used the mini wonder mold pan for the igloo. And Icecream cones for the trees. This cake was alot of fun.

This is a cake for a 40th anniversary. I covered the cake in fondant then attached the fondant ribbon and bow. I then "painted" the ribbon and bow w/ super pearl and added the embossed designs on the cake w/ BC icing. The poinsettias are gumpaste.

This is my personal contribution to my daughter's 5th grade class's sugar high. I hope they like it!!! I made the house part out of chocolate cake and the sheet cake butter flavor so everyone gets what they want. The little presents are caramels topped with icing ribbons and the trees are ice cream cones topped with frosting. I had bought a bunch more candy to decorate this cake with, but decided not to over do it. i am happy with how it came out and it was fun to do.

I was inspied by the cake made by Alickert. Thanks! I have only worked with fondant and thought I should finally get to the basics and learn BC. It was very different for me, but fun. I made the 4 snowmen to be myself, my husband and our girls. This was a fun cake to do and I can't wait to do more practice.

I made these for an auction at my mother in laws work. I used buttercream iceing 2 marshmellows skewered on a pretzel stick, fruit roll ups for the scarf and one pretzel stick cut in halph for the arms. I will be making these again with a few added touches. Thanks to the many great decorators for the idea.

This is my first cake since my surgery (Bilateral Carpal Tunnel Release) I just did it yesterday for my children's classroom. They all loved it however, I am really disappointed. The BC was not coming out smooth, you can see it looks so sloppy. I wanted to add more penguins and decorations, at least a border but, my hands hurt a lot so I guess I shouldn't be too hard on myself but I had envisioned it so much nicer. Thanks for looking.

This is a Strawberry and White Checkerboard cake surrounded by a winter wonderland of decorated trees and a couple of snowmen. There is an overhead view and the back view as well as the front view. The snowmen are doughnut holes with a pretzel stick in them and then covered in icing. The decorated trees are sugar ice cream cones that I broke into different sizes and covered with buttercream star tips and then covered with tiny sugar lights.

This was my second wedding cake I've done. It is iced in red buttercream with white fondant ribbons to resemble a present. It was very hard to place on cake because of so much RED! Bottom tier is fake. Top bow of cake is purchased.
