I made this for my daughter's 5th birthday. The cake is buttercake with chocolate ganache, covered in fondant. All edible. The house is a simplified version of Felicity's house owing to lack of time. Felicity is modelled from fondant and her wings are made from rice paper. I had lots of fun making this.

I was asked to do this cake for a memorial get-together in remembrance of the client's sister. She drew out the design she wanted on the cake, which she said is a tattoo (minus the halo) that she, her sister and her brother all have. The cake is Dark Chocolate Fudge with buttercream icing.

This was a cake I made for my co-worker who just got approved to start an entomology lab. It's an airbrushed flesh fly complete with fondant wings, larvae, maggots, and eggs. The finishing touch was an edible image of a nasty set of jaws. I will post the front view.

I created this cake from a photo of only had the top half of her & the wings were barely visible. So, I really liked how this one turned-out, I tried to make the wings 'transparent' by swirling-in some of the frosting from behind/under the wings. I actually got the wing shape from a butterfly on this site, & I used silver luster dust combined with "edible laquer" for the silver sparkles. It was the 1st time I'd used it & it was GREAT! & fun!! =)

Cake I made for my son's b-day. Cake is iced in BC with Black airbrushed over the top. Then disco hologram dust was sprinkled all over for the stars. The x-wing fighter was made from gumpaste with some royal icing helping for the accents. I think it turned out okay. He thought is was great so that is all that matters, right? :)

I really like it when the Client tells me flavor, shape and number of servings then says I can do whatever I want. So this time, I had the opportunity to try something a little different, and the whole group loved it. They wanted their colors of burgundy and green, and some hearts. The "collars" were royal icing plaques. The roses were buttercream as was the rest of the icing. It's not like anything else in my albums, which is why I like it so much.

This is a plain white sheet cake with the rigger wings and 2 red rigger hats for a soldier's 25th birthday. My buttercream didn't crust so it doesn't look smooth and I used the controversial Preval sprayer. I think I'll redo it.

I made the Wings logo with color flow- it did not work very well! I didn't let the piece sit long enough and the center cracked into a million pieces when I tried to remove it. It is also a rather large piece. But, I put it all back together on the cake and my friends loved it. The rest is just simple buttercreme.

The couple's theme for the wedding included angel wings, so I incorporated them into their cupcake display on top of the MadHatter cake (5" and 8" cakes) using pastillage piped with royal icing "feathers" and then as toppers on each mini cupcake (110!) with royal icing "wings".

Cupcake stand was rented courtesy of a fellow CC member...Flourgrl!! Woo hoo! Thanks Lisa!! (I had accidentally double-booked my round stand and she came through for me big time last-minute with the use of hers!!)

I did this cake for a Wing family reunion!! I thought the message was so cute and perfect. Of course, I have used the Cakery's style for this cake, and added wings to the decorations for fun. WASC cake and High Humidity Buttercream. I'm still new to decorating and I thank you for looking. I appreciate all suggestions and comments.

This was for a girl turning 16 who said when she grew up she wanted to be a Victoria's Secret angel. Her grandmother ordered this for her. The wings are made from rice krispie treats and covered in fondant as well as the lid for the box.

Ok, this one was fun. I was originally trying to make the dragon be a little up right and aggressive looking, so I tried the rice krispy technique and they would form into the shape I needed, so I waent to plan B from a magazine insert I had. It was farely simple to peice him together and I used fondant for his legs, toes eyes, nose and his spikes. The wings had to be red as the bot requested they be red. I used fruit rollups, what a concept, they drooped a little, but it all worked out in the end.

Made when my oldest Granddaughter was expecting her baby girl Mikayla. The nursery was done in a garden theme so I used that as the theme for the cake. Gumpaste picket fence, Hydrangeas and the baby, the fairy wings are wires shaped and dipped into clear gelatin.
