My friend and I made this wedding cake for a friend. She was having an ice cream sundae bar for her wedding, so she just wanted a topper to cut during the reception.

I made this for a friend's baby shower - white cake with strawberry cream filling & cream cheese icing. I used the crusting recipe (great success in the past), but it was actually 80 degrees here in TX in December (believe it or not!!!), so it sagged just a tad. I enjoy the simplicity of it. Thanks for looking!

So, the vines aren't blue, but the name sounded right to me! This cake was so much fun, because the Bride & Groom only specified "vines with blue & white flowers", and then allowed me to do whatever I wanted with it! So, it was a lot of fun! Check out some of my other work at www.OCakes.com, thanks for looking! =)

I did this cake before for a farewell. Someone saw it on my website and asked me to do it for her Mom's 70th birthday. White cake with almond icing. Crusting buttercream cherry blossoms, thanks to CC for the recipe.

My friend asked me to make a cake for her BBQ tomorrow - whatever I wanted to do. I saw a bee hive once & always wanted to do one, so it came to mind... I did a search here at cake central, for "bee", and then "bee hive". I looked at all your wonderful creations & came-up with my own. I wish I had taken note of your names, thank you so much for the inspiration! This was so much fun! :D

I was asked to make a cake to feed 200 two days before the event so I baked and iced this all in one day. The decorations are leftover royal icing and fondant flowers I had from other cakes. The icing is cream cheese buttercream that I swirled around to make it look fluffy.

I went all-out for my daughter's 6th birthday. We had a big park party and I made this huge cake! One layer was chocolate, the other French Vanilla, both with cookies and cream filling, BC and MMF, with royal icing flowers and drop strings. Tasted great, and everyone really loved it. I put a lot of time into this one, the first big bday party since learning how to do cakes. This is soooo fun!

This cake was almost a disaster...buttercream and 105 degree weather don't go too well together...the inside was a neopolitan theme. It was alternating vanilla and strawberry flavored cake that was separated with layers of chocolate ganache.

This is an extremely simple design, but it was my first time to work with fondant, and my first wedding cake...terrifying! However, there were no terrible disasters, and the bride was very pleased, so it was a success!

I had to figure out the flowers myself since they forgot to order them. I don't know the first thing about flowers so I'm glad it turned out! I kept going over to look at it because I couldn't believe I'd made it! lol

Hi!
This cake was a dummy cake, but could easily be made out of real cake. The bottom was a petal pan with fondant pleates, the flowers are all gumpaste, white dendrobium orchids and gardenias. It was one of my favs. I had this idea floating around in my head, and just had to make it! The vase is sugar with a pressed lace pattern over the ourside. I was lucky enough to have it be on the cover of the May ICES newsletter - 2007 :-) Thanks for peeking!

I made this cake for an Audrey Hepburn themed wedding. The bride's colors were black, white and green and she had originally wanted hydrangeas but since they are poisonous we went with royal icing piped flowers. I then glued them to wires and made little bunches. (I got the idea from someone on CC but I can't remember who.) The design is loosely patterned after the paisley cake in the 2008 Wilton yearbook.

I am making my sister's wedding cake in Nov and since it will be mt first I thought I better practice. It's an 8 and 6" round, lemon cream cheese pound cake with vanilla SMBC and covered in MMF. The piping is royal icing. My piping definately needs practice but overall I was happy with my first try. TFL

Did this with a friend and I love how it came out. I don't have a cutter for cherry blossoms, so the daisy cutters filled in! All buttercream except the flowers and dragees.

I started with a simple vanilla cake and vanilla swiss meringue buttercream. Flowers are fresh. I really like how the flowers added the right touch.
