This is a cake I made for my in-law's 50th anniversary party. It didn't turn out anything like I envisioned. If it could go wrong, it did. I intend to post all that I learned from this later, after I recover from the 3 week sprint to get it done. It is white cake iced in buttercream and dusted with white cake sparkles and gold luster dust. Some of the flowers were fondant, others were silk. I think all ended up ok, but not my best work.

I baked this cake for my brother-in-law's 3rd wedding anniversary today. Also a trial cake as my piping techniques are still at infant stage. It's 2 heartshape chocolate sponge cakes & iced with buttercream with pitted dark cherries as toppings.

I made this cake for my husband's grandparents 60th anniversary party Saturday. When they got married they didn't have a cake so I wanted to make them one and this is the first one I have ever done. It is not the greatest but it turned out OK. It is all buttercream 10 and 6 inches. I made the topper and the heart with coated floral wire and plastic beads. I wrapped the wire to a lollipop stick to insert it in the cake. This was also my first try at cornelli lace!!

Fondant yellow roses and royal icing white Easter Lilies with edible yellow gliter in the center of the lilies. Please let me know your opinion and constructive criticism. This is my first stacked cake that I have ever used dowel rods in before. Bottom layer is a double layer 10", middle layer is double 8", and top layer is a double layer 6". Iced in all buttercream icing and the roses are all silk. I had to transport this cake to a resturant and I had to stack it and put the borders and flowers on it when I got there, I was sooo nervous with everyone watching me my hand was just a shaking, I couldnt hardly do the shell borders, LOL. It was a real big hit everyone loved it!

Here's a cake I did for a friend's 25th Wedding Anniversary. The theme was all purple and silver. Looks similar to a wedding cake I did last year. She saw the picture of the wedding cake and wanted one similar for her anniversary.

This design is in a Wilton book. The diagonal lines are a lot simpler to make that they look like they are. You just ice the cake, cut a strip of waxed paper to fit the area you do not want colored, and then put a light layer of colored icing where you want it, and then take of the waxed paper. Amazingly you'll end up with a nice clean, straight line.

The tier sizes are 14, 10 & 6. This was set up on a boat that would cruise a local lake for a few hours. I hope it stayed together!
The bride provided the fishbowls and everything in them (aquarium stuff like seashells, plastic plants & a fish (NO, I would NOT let her use real fish! as she wanted to) Shells are molded candy melts.
