This 2-tier cake for a Valentines Day Wedding was iced in light pink buttercream, and then accented with ivory buttercream hearts. A pink fondant bow with ribbons trailing down both tiers crowned it.

This was a cake I made for practice, so obviously the top and bottom don't really match. I used roses, daisies, and primrose flowers, all made from butterbream or royal icing. Iced with buttercream.

This was my first wedding cake. As the groom was very active in the local Camillia Society, I had planned on using fresh camillias. But they would not be available for an Oct. date, so I created them from gumpaste as close to the coloring and size as I could. There are 25 varieties represented. Real branches were used to lend an authentic look to the flowers. The cake was covered in rolled fondant.

I made this cake for my husband and I celebrating our second year of marriage. It is a miniature cake with 2", 3" and 4" tiers. These tiers are covered in rolled fondant. The cake itself is a rich west indian fruitcake made with fruits that have been steeped in liquor.

5 Tier Wedding Cake with Mini Cakes on an top of an urn as a table centerpiece.
A lot of details, time and continuous steady hands... just to finish the cake. We did it in less than 6 hours. Everything edible!

Another 'Fountainhead' classic traditional wedding cake, this one a four-tier bride and groom topped masterpiece. The chocolate and butter chiffon cakes are enveloped in rich boiled italian meringue icing, and wisps of spray add to our sugar flowers. Email me for info on our sugar flowers.. cgolpe-AT-fountainheadbakeshop.com

This is the top tier of the wedding cake. This shows the airbrushed cameo and scrollwork in better detail.

The cake is a version of the chocolate cake on p.41 of the 2003 Wilton yearbook. Same pans used. My sister is not a frilly kind of person, so she didn't want any flowers or even a cake topper. All buttercreme, white cake w/french vanilla pudding/filling.

This is the right photo, I hope. I made this cake a few years ago when the basket weave cake was really popular. This cake was four tiers and each tier was a different flavor. I arranged the fresh flower topper also.

12" cake was French Vanilla Butter and 8" was Butter and Choc Fudge marble. Icing is bc with scroll work and fleur d'lis. I also put just a little clear cake glitter for a bit of sparkle on the tops of the layers.

This was for a VERY Irish wedding!! The shamrocks were made of gumpaste and with small dogwood cutters. The fondant was made of pale green color, and dusted with pale green lusterdust. The knot was originally etched on the toasting - Pint glasses (Guiness of course!). I traced over it and piped 4 of them from royal icing and then colored with gold luster dust.
