I made this cake for my aunt's housewarming party. They just finished rebuilding their home in New Orleans, and the family is getting together to celebrate! The back edge of the top border was taken out by my background board falling while I turned to get the camera :( This is the tallest cake I've ever made...I made a 1/2 recipe of WASC and put it into two 3" tall 8-inch pans. It is ridiculous how tall it is! It barely fits into my cake tote...

WASC cupcake with 2D tip swirl (BC) on top. turned out really cute! I just made these with the leftover batter from my basketweave cake... they probably won't last too long in my house!

They were doing a dessert table instead of the traditional tiered cake. (I even tried to talk her into one.) She simply wanted three cakes: WASC with Strawberry Filling and Whipped Cream Icing, Devils Food with BC, and Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Icing. She didn't give me any instruction though on how she wanted them decorated so I hope these will pass alright. I think they came out well. It's my first cake with Whipped Cream icing, and I got to try out my new diamond mat. Thx for all the ideas!!!

A first for me. Made it today using WASC w/ International Delight Chocolate Caramel coffee creamer (very good). Frosting is White Chocolate Buttercream. Also very good, but a little overpowering for the cake. Next time I'll make buttercream and add in the Chocolate Caramel.

Well this has a lot of first times for me. 1st the cymbidiums, then the shaped tin i used, & finally the cake flavour, wow i tried the WASC cake recipe but the only hitch i had was i didnt read the recipe properly to realise i needed a whitle cake mix hehe so i comprimised & adjusted the recipe not using one. I added extra flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda & you know what it was soooo yummy and moist dense but a nice dense then i made a strawberry cream filling, My mother in law & family loved it.

WASC 14" round--single layer--as requested. Frosting is buttercream--Decorator's Buttercream from the recipes here--LOVED it for frosting--super delish! Writing is done with melted candy melts as a chocolate transfer--really don't like my own writing! Records are also chocolate melt/transfers. The flash made them appear shiny.

This cake is inspired/borrowed by the American bandstand Cake by bunnypatchbaker --thank you!! It is a single layer 14" round WASC with the decorator's buttercream frosting. Words, records and music notes are chocolate (candy melt) transfers.

This is a 12" WASC cake with decorator's buttercream. I used the chocolate melt transfer to make the horse and the words--my writing is terrible :)
I really liked how it turned out--I'll be making one for my niece next!

Thanks to CCer's krabbykatie, nunuk, breezy522, koryAK, and especiallay bbarnes for their time to share hints and their talent that inspired me!! This cake is like the one in the book Confetti Cakes. I used WASC and Duff's French Buttercream. It was a lot of fun!!

White almond sour cream & chocolate fudge almond sour cream cake, torted w/chocolate mousse filling, & finally smothered w/heavenly fudge icing. The roses are chocolate & white Tootsie Rolls. This was the first tiered cake & the first Tootsie Roll roses I had ever made. It was for my DH's retirement. He wanted it to look like there were ropes w/knots around the cake. The roses were my idea for the kids - LOL. It's not perfect but everyone liked it & we had fun. Thanks for looking & critiquing!

I tried covering the cake in Chocolate MMF, but didn't work. So I went with my MMF and use the CMMF and added MMF to make the designs. Two layer cakes each with one layer of WASC and Chocolate Extender Cake and Cream Cheese Filling. This is the first MMF cake on my own. We used this as a Father's Day/Birthday Cake for a family get together.

There is not ONE thing I like about this cake. It is WASC with BC icing and chocolate karate silhouettes. The reason for orange and black: The boy this was for just recently earned his orange/black belt. I had terrible trouble with the BC (it is rainy and humid here, and it was not cooperating at all). Definitely have no fond feelings for this cake...and glad it is gone! The party goers all said it was delicious, though. Guess that is the silver lining to this mess? LOL!!

This is a 14" round WASC with decorator's buttercream. Writing is candy melt/chocolate transfer. This was a party to celebrate the finalization of an adoption of a 5 year old boy.

WASC. Two with raspberry filling and one with strawberry filling. Fruit on top is strawberrys, raspberrys, grapes, blueberry's and blackberrys. Last minute crises when the cake stand was cracked but CC came to my rescue and suggested using glass vases. Thanks for everyone's help. Charged 200.00. Thanks for looking and letting me know what you think!

This is the cake I made for my sorority's picnic. It is a white almond sour cream cake with buttercream dream icing. I received a lot of complements on this cake. This was my second doll cake, and I am pretty pleased with it.

This is the cake I made for my dad's 50th. birthday. It is a white almond sour cream cake and and chocolate fudge cake covered in MMF. My dad is a couch potato and a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan, which is why there are royal icing cardinals on the side of the cake. The custom cake topper is made from polymer clay, which was made by a seller from EBay. This was my first attempt at using any kind of fondant and my first attempt at using dowels and stacking cakes.

This is an 8 inch round, WASC cake with almond buttercream and cherry filling. Yummy! The train on top
is a chocolate transfer. "Anthony" in the smoke was the name of the birthday guy....he works for C&S
Rail Services, so I put that on the middle car.

WASC with Cheesecake Filling & Strawberries. All fondant, except for the picture. I used the Wilton Pearl Dust mixed with a tiny bit of blue to give it a shiny effect.

This is my first wedding cake. It's WASC covered with buttercream [decorators buttercream] and covered with Pettinice fondant in Ivory. The layers are 6, 10 and 14 and I used Wilton's Globe Pillars. The cakes were dusted in Wilton's White Pearl Dust--generously [will have to get some of the good stuff...this was impulse]. It's not perfect but she loved it--the taste and overall look!

WASC cake with marshmallow fluff icing. The icing was intended to be the filling
but it worked better as an icing. Fondant roses on top and heart shaped sprinkles.
I've been wanting to make some cupcakes with the icing just dripping down like that.

I made this cake for my MIL's birthday. It's WASC made with white chocolate raspberry creamer in both the cake and buttercream [used decorator's buttercream] and filled with raspberry cream filling. It's an 8" round and it was my first time trying out the cornelli lace. Didn't get it right but she loved it and it was still pretty for her!

This was just a quickie idea to decorate a cake to take to a family gathering. It's WASC made with white chocolate raspberry creamer in both the cake and buttercream [used decorators buttercream] and filled with raspberry cream filling. It's an 8" cake that nobody saw like this. My grandma's dog [Daisy Mae] "met" the cake with her paw when she greeted us. This is a great example of why I always get pictures of my cakes before they leave my kitchen!!!

Donated to grade school for carnival “cake-walk”. Was a big hit! Duck is WASC, lemon BC; 10” round extra-rich orange “pond” w/vanilla light BC hint of orange filling, dark chocolate/orange BC for sides (dirt) & vanilla BC (pond). Crumb coated duck giving it more frosting taste when cut, since I forgot I was going to vertically cut/fill, but had it already assembled. Orange cake “domed” & I tried the flattening trick, it sunk just a bit too much & gave it just enough of a sitting-in-the-water perfect look! Shimmed one side & used med.-sized dowels to keep it sturdy since little kids at the carnival have a tendency to get overly excited when they win a cake! Cake board had geese pattern to match theme. (Using the WASC & Star Tip was perfect for this 3D duck & I liked it better than the other duck in my photos.)

I made this cake for my older daughter's 15th birthday. She didn't want a fondant covered cake so I used buttercream. WASC cake, with pink buttercream and cookies and cream whipped cream filling. 10", 8" and 6". The 6" is a dummy. The black decorations are all fondant. Pearl dust painted on the layers to add sparkle. Fondant pearls made from Earlene's instructions. The bat on top is the symbol for the band Fall Out Boy, who my daughter loves!
BonnscakesAZ pink and black cake was a big inspiration!
