This was a cake I made for practice, so obviously the top and bottom don't really match. I used roses, daisies, and primrose flowers, all made from butterbream or royal icing. Iced with buttercream.

Just love these colors. Even my house which we newly renovated are based on these colors. We made this cake just for pictorial sakes for a magazine. All flowers are edible. Should anyone wish to order edible flowers... just contact me through email.

My first tiered cake. Push in pillars made that very easy! Chocolate Explosion Cake with whipped ganache filling (YUMMY!) and chocolate fudge frosting. Royal icing roses. Scroll work on the sides (first time doing that, too). I was trial running this flavor combo. for our future wedding cake, so decided to post it here. I learned a lot on this cake! Chocolate frosting warms up and thins out a lot in the bag as you decorate with it. Glad it turned out OK. Tastes good!

I duplicated a cake used on the cover of the 1998 Wilton Yearbook. The teddy bear is the baby's "smash" cake.

Thankfully, the first wedding cake order I had was quite simple...meringue icing with beaded borders and fresh orchids! It was a heavy bad boy, but it made it in one piece!

This cake was very easy buttime comsuming to make. My sister didn't know what gender she was having so I made it pink and blue. I made 3 different layers and frosted them with a white frosting. I colored white chocolate with pink and blue to make the shavings on top of the frosting. I used plastic baby blocks to separate the layers.

The wedding was their second and they didn't want a big affair. The color scheme was multiple colors. 12" square, 9" heart, 6" heart. Tea roses comprise the bottom tier on the 9" heart. The couple was surprised that a small cake would look so nice. They were very pleased

This was my first MMF wedding cake. It was regular white cake, with a crumb coat of buttercream that was flavored with butavan then the MMF. It was a really simple cake in design. I was shocked at the cake topper the bride chose. It wouldn't have been my choice! lol

This is definitely not one of my favorite cakes and I debated to even load the pic (that's how bad I didn't like this cake, lol) This was the brides choice of cake .. it was made exactly to her specifications .. icing was buttercream.. I used the super enhanced cake mix recipe from here .. flowers are fresh and again, the brides choice of flowers.. her colors were lavendar and silver.

This was a much smaller version of the original wedding cake that consisted of a total of 7 cakes! This was for their 25th Anniversary. I'd never used these plates before, and found that the frosting oozed through the holes in the bottom. ick! Next time, smaller cakes on these plates.

We used 14 dozen roses and it only covered the sides and front. 2 things of baby's breathe. So if you were making this cake and you wanna get an idea how many roses to buy... I would get atleast 25 to 38 dozen roses and 3 to 4 baby's breathe if you want baby's breathe.

this is the first time i've ever attempted to do a tiered cake. my friend wanted a hello kitty tiered cake, and this one was inspired by a cake here on CC. It's not perfect, but it'll do...LOL. Constructive criticism and suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

This was the first wedding cake I have ever done. I have not had a chance to take any classes yet and that's why I love this web site so much lol. You can't really see it...but above the bottom border is a flower border that was very pretty. And for the record I will never use a cake stand like this again....very unstable....espescially the top tier.

I made this with the leftover flowers that I had from Course 2 for a Retirement party at my husbands office. Its a little off-centered, because it was my first tier cake, but I think it worked out since I used that side to arrange the flowers. The top is a yellow cake and the bottomw is a dark chocolate with buttercream. It was alot of fun to make

This is a double decker mudcake, filled with white chocolate mudcake.
Decorated in buttercream with buttercream roses. The plaque was made with a new recipe and piped in royal icing dusted with silver poweder. This was an 8 inch cake, for a very small wedding. Total of 20 people. I loved making this cake. Very nice and simple

My first tiered cake. I've been asked to make the cake for my nieces wedding next spring. It's a coconut white cake and white buttercream icing. The centerpiece of the cake is lilacs and some baby's breath. I made a mold for the white fondant pieces on the bottom layer.

White, MMF icing and flowers, BC leaves and piping. 10/8/6" tiers. Found this idea in the Wilton 2002 Yearbook. This is my first experience with MMF~ and I love it. The cake has 60 fondant roses on it. This cake is for a bride who is a prosecuting attorney for the US government. She's NOT a girly-girl....but is getting a girly-girl cake!!! LOL

This is my course three final cake. I was sooooo proud of it! I used a diamond impression mat and edible pearls that I dusted in super pearl dust. My roses are fondant and each one took me no less than thirty minutes because I'm new at making them too.

This is the end result of a class I teach fMichael's. The last class I taught I had one student and this was her final cake after 6 weeks of work. It contains more than 20 types of flowers that we created in the class and then the last session I helped her assemble the cake andshe arranged the flowers she'd made over the last 5 weeks.
