I know, I know these Tiffany cakes seemed to be overdone on Cake Central, but not in my world and the Birthday Girl is raving to eveyone as I write this blurb. This is my 3rd fondant practice cake. It is my Grandma's lemon cake recipe. The color was achieved by equal amounts of Americolor Teal and Sky Blue. Your critique very welcome! (Critique: assessment of something, usually a creative work, with comments on its good and bad qualities.) Thanks super big bunches.

This was a two person cake; I helped my friend make this cake for her daughter's 7th birthday. The party was Bratz themed, but we stayed away from putting Bratz on teh cake, we just used the color scheme from teh plates and napkins etc. Then to tie it into the dolls we had purses and lips on the cake.

Here is one of the cakes that I made for a friend for her birthday. This one was for us when we got together for lunch. It started out as Cornelli Lace but the icing dripped all over the place, so I decided to just let it go wherever and see what happened. :-P

For a friend who turned 30 on Easter Sunday. It was a chocolate ameretto cake. Delicious! Those are mini malted eggs decorating.

This is a No Special Reason Cake! I just felt like playing around. Mistakenly I did the rosettes before putting on the Walnuts on the side. So I had to place each individual walnut by hand so I wouldn't get crumbs on the rosettes. :) Thanks for looking.

this was the first wedding cake that I have made, all buttercream roses. The teal blue was the color of the bridesmaid's dresses. I still need lots of practice but we are getting there. They really liked the cake. comments welcome

I learned two important lesson doing this cake. First, if the sides of your cake aren't at 90 degree angles, icing will slowly slide off of your cake, making it difficult to ice. Second, there is such a thing as having your icing too thin...hahaha....

This was done for some really close friends. What looks black is actually teal. It even printed out looking black for some reason. I done a box of chocolates earlier today and the box was purple and it showed up and printed out navy blue too. Oh well, at least it's right in person. Thanks for taking the time to look.

It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be and I love the way it turned out. I later put an American Idol sign in the middle of the stars for the party. Forgot to take a pic though. Oops.

A cake I made for my cousin's birthday. It was a lot of fun -- chocolate cake with buttercream icing, fondant accents, and some ribbon to add a bit more dimension. :) Thanks for looking! GBY

This cake was iced in buttercream with teal scrollwork added on top and sides. The borded was done with a 2D tip. Each cake had a different filling.

Cake made using their wedding colors. There is supposed to be a faint lace pattern on the top of the cake but I didn't press hard enough in some areas so it's not quite the effect I was hoping for.

Have been wanting to make a pillow cake and use my diamond impression mat, so took the "domed" scraps from a couple of hex cakes I made earlier this week to make this one. Being round instead of square, I think it looks more like a pie with a teal top crust! Oh well.

I made this cake for my friend's daughter's 18th birthday. The debutante wanted "stars'' and the colors teal and silver as the theme for her party. I included a caricature of a girl that the debutante herself used in her painting exhibits. The stars are painted silver and I used teal dragees all over the cake. I also made 18 pieces of small star-shaped cakes for her to blow the 18 candles.

Made these for a teacher at my daughter's school. She thinks everybody forgot her birthday, but the other teacher in the class asked me last week to make them for her..LOL I hope she likes them!! I had those same colors from the cake last week left over so that is why I chose them.

This was a very last minute cake while I was trying to make my first wedding cake! They told me she liked teal.... so I tried to go with that. It was a free cake anyway - my "gift" although I was asked to do it. I used a white chocolate fondant that I made - the cake is white cake mix w/ vanilla added & vanilla pudding.... I hand "painted" the little pearls orange.... I had a few problems w/ those orange pearls - notice the streak - it turned out okay and they said it tasted good - the most important part!

We are having a 'Happy Birthday' weekend for all the September/October birthday in my family, so I thought these might be a nice addition. They are NF sugar cookies with Antonia's RI, colored with burgundy and teal.

Coconut cake from the CMD with cream cheese frosting for filling and Frostin Pride to decorate. This turned out to be very last minute because my previous 2 attempts at a new cake recipe failed (my fault, didn't read instructions too carefully)! I added star sprinkles because I thought it looked kind of plain with just the two tone.

2-Layer French vanilla with dream whip buttercream. This was for a 10-year old's birthday party-his little league team is the Florida Marlins. I loved making the itty-bitty fondant buttons - they were fun! I was so happy I had ordered Americolor Teal from Cake Central - it was so much easier than trying to mix colors to get the perfect shade! Thanks Cake Central!

Cheesecake-flavored cake with edible image of the Dallas skyline at night. This is for a young girl from Dallas who moved to Houston to attend school - she is homesick and wanted a cake to remind her of her hometown! Fondant flowers, leaves and curlie-cues. Thanks so much to Traci for printing the image for me - Traci, the image was absolutely beautiful on the cake!

All made from fondant and hand molded and painted. THe topper was ceramic.
Each tier is 6" tall. I worked 11 hours assembling the cake, not including the time for making the dragonflies, frogs, crowns, flowers, snails which were all made in advance.

This is my first wedding cake for my brother. It was inspired by a cake in the Wilton Weddings book. The colors chosen were matched to the invitation (bronze and teal). 15", 9" and 6" petal pans. Each cake was 4 layer. Devil's Food with chocolate whipped cream filling and pineapple cake with pineapple filling. The flowers are the "fantasy flower" painted with pearl luster dust.
