5 hours later and I'm finally done with Buzz. This one was tough...so many little pieces to cut and place. I'm sad that he is leaning back moreso than I wanted, but overall, I'm very pleased. I'm a critique submember. TFL!

Each square on the quilt is an BC icon/picture representing a different aspect from the couple's 50 years together. The cake is covered with BC. The fondant "quilt" is meant to look like it was draped over a cake. This was SO much fun to make!

Had some trouble with coming up with a buzz cake so here is what I did:
Buzz is a toy on top of a 10 inch round cake covered in fondant. Crater holes were make by pushing the end of dowels into the cake.
Cupcakes were inspired by the spaceship cupcakes in the Cupcake Fun book by Wilton. Cupcakes were made to look like the little green men from toy story.

I made this for my son's 3rd birthday. I also made matching alien cupcakes. The pan was a Wilton Astronaunt/spaceman pan 1978. The face is a buttercream transfer.

This is a three layer yellow cake with buttercream frosting and candy melt leg lamp. The black is royal icing and the yellow "hay" is colored coconut. This cake was for a holiday raffle and was just a fun way to commemorate a newer Christmas classic.

I used 2 bunt pans for the body and it is covered in small sections of marbled fondant to get the different greens. I used a round glass bowl for the head. The fruits are all fondant and the polka dots in the bottom are gumballs.

I made this cake for my little boy before I knew ANYTHING about cake decorating. At the time I was soooo proud but now I'm a tad embarrassed. lol. Still fun to post. Buttercream with fondant accents. It is *supposed* to be a planet and Buzz's rocket.
