This is a simple cake I made for our showcase window using some nice silver stars for spray, and some of our signature design elements, like our lattice, edible beads, edible flower bouqets with ribbon and eye-catching topiery. Simple yet effectively attractive.. and it tastes good too.. (Well, not really this one, it has styrofoam because it was for a showcase window... ) hahaha..

The cake is a 10"x3" torted and iced in buttercream. The roses on top are buttercream (I froze for easier handling) and the flowers on the side are royal and pressed into a bc swag. The only thing I wasn't happy with were the rose stems and the bow. The stems weren't "gathered" correctly, and the icing for the bow was too thin and it collapsed in on itself on the right. I tried to fix both. Hopefully with so many flowers, no-one will notice!

A little 6 inch cake made for my DHs Administrative Assistants for Secretaries Day. He asked me to make this at 9:00 the night before, luckily I had an extra cake in the freezer from a large order I have this week and a stash of flowers. Buttercream icing with MMF accents.

Strawberry cake with strawberry filling and buttercream icing. This was for the kids across the street to give their Mother. They did yard work for me in exchange for the cake. It was a good deal for me and very thoughtful of the kids.

A power ranger cake I made for my nephew - I used the canned 'decorating spray' for a paint effect and gold sanding sugar in the star area. I added gel colors in the batter - so layers of the cake were 'power ranger' yellow, blue and green.

I always keep a dummy of some sort in my display case at work, so I came up with this. Got the colors from taking a dark maroon and adding white in varying degrees. The base icing is marbled together. And check this out - today, one of the store managers told me it's UGLY! (She's notoriously picky.) She said the frosting looked like blood. All I could do was walk away silently. Then complain to my boss about how rude that was and I've received nothing but compliments on it! What a witch! LOL

I used the Wilton color spray to get the cake red. It was designed to match their Raggedy Ann & Andy theme.

Thought of the Top Hat and thought it'd be easy. Well, easy it was.... though still very time consuming. The rim is a 12" Chocolate cake the Top part of the Hat is Chocolate and Yellow cake checkerboard. First attempt. It looked great when they cut it. The band is white fondant with black spray (new- don't like it) and silver flakes. Could have done better with the decorations, though time was short. Thanks for looking.

This was made for my Uncle, inspired by members of CC. Thank you. I want an airbrush kit, but for now I just used Wilton spray colors on white icing. My uncle tells bad (corny) jokes so we sent this one back to him.

I'm a little disappointed in this one. I used the Wilton Spray for the grass and sky and it came out blotchy. I worked on it for over an hour to get it looking somewhat decent without ruining my FBCT's.

For chinese wedding - White cake with raspeberry and vanilla buttercream layers. Topper means Double Happiness, a traditional Chinese wedding icon, and sides of the cake are long life and luck. Spray is to give idea of fireworks. Border is missing and was not not possible to add as it had to be done at location, and restaurant was extremely uncooperative in giving me any space needed for 15 minutes to build it.

I deliberately collared the cake pans in order to obtain more height for each layer. The cake is frosted in buttercream. The flowers are all royal icing. Additionally, I added buttercream dots on the sides of the cake. The cake was actually my final project for a cake class I took in May 2006.

Here is a picture of my first cake order. The lady wanted a 1/2 sheet, one layer chocolate with the falcon on it for her daughters' homecoming dance. Everything is buttercream, I used the red color spray and the falcon is a FBCT. This was a lot of firsts for me. Thanks for looking!

This was made for my dad and uncle's 50th birthday party. It's a 12 inch round iced with buttercream. The
colors on top are done with the Wilton color spray. I made a template with only one wedge missing, and moved
it around the circle spraying different colors. The spinner is made from a dowel rod, a push pin, and cardboard.
It actually did spin! Everyone had a great time with it and it was hard to cut the cake to eat it since everyone wanted
a chance to spin ! :-)

Iced in high humidity buttercream with line impression mat on sides and diamond on top. Fondant bead border and gumpaste flowers/bow on top. This cake was one disaster after the other, but I sure did want to eat it!! Too bad I donated it... WASC cake with white choc raspberry, rasp filling, and white choc rasp buttercream... Yum! :)

This cake is iced smooth with buttercream. Needed something for someone who graduated beauty college and just started her first job at a beauty salon. Used MMF to make a silhouette type of look for the hair styling tools. MMF rope border.
