My son wanted these Wilton Spider Man characters on his cake...so I made a web and put the candle in the middle and a bunch of the Spider Man plastic figures around the edge.

This little bugs are not done yet (need eye lashes and the little bugs need their legs) but I will be doing them later. They are for my daughters 2nd b-day next month. Their are made of Marshmallow Fondant. Time consuming but lots of fun to see the end result.

This is a cake that I did for my husband. I think he was just making up something to see if I could do it. I just started taking classes in June and he said all of my cakes were easy..so he maed up this cake for me to make. He said he wanted his cat midnight, dressed up in a spiderman costume, shooting a web out of his paw and sitting in a spider web. Well I did the best I can. For his paw I made it out of fondant. And those little white spikes out of his paw is suppose to be a web made of fondant.

I did these cupcakes for my nephew's 6th birthday. He absolutely LOVES spiderman. I didn't want to just use the little plastic toppers, so I decided to make webs & spiders. I bought the Wilton Spiderman cupcake liners, used butter cream icing & tried this delicious recipe for yellow cupcakes using all brown sugar & no granulated sugar.

I got this idea from Wilton's 2006 Yearbook. I used half of the Sports Ball for the body and a mini ball for the head. All of the details (face and legs) are candy. The cake is one of the CMD ones- chocolate with mayo. The icing is buttercream (green) and chocolate buttercream (black).

My first paid customer. My first FBCT. I piped the suit web outline on top of the FBCT. It is a lot of detail, but I enjoyed making it. I am sure the boy will love it. My dd is invited so I get to see his reaction. The resources on this site helped aid in the completion of this cake. Thanks!!

I made this cake for my sister's boyfriend. He is terrified of spiders. It is all buttercream and his head is a cupcake with a wooden skewer through it to hold it on. The legs are black pipe cleaners!!! He LOVED it!!! She said everyone had gray teeth..HAHAHA!!!

Chocolate dome cake spider with legs made using swiss cake rolls. The spider hovers over a cupckae web. Using a wilton cake decorating cake stand that tilts, I was able to angle the spider over the web for a cool effect.

Okay, I am sooo happy I finally got to do this cake!!! I was dying to do it! It was for my little girl who turned 2 this past weekend. She LOVED it!!!! I will post a how did I do it later on... on "How Do I" forum.. The characters are MMF, the tree is chocolate cake (I used soup cans to bake the cakes in that shape), the flowers are MMF and the cake is vanilla/almond with 100% Crisco buttercream. It was delicious and everyone LOVED it!!!

This is the 2nd time I made a tiered cake and THIS time I remembered to put a dowel rod in the middle! Arrived intact to it's destination!! Bottom tier is banana with caramel/nut filling, top tier strawberry with strawberry mousse filling. All edible except for the spider's legs and the ribbon at the base of the top tier.

Wilton Mummy Cake "All Wrapped Up". My 8 y.o. son had a blast helping with this. This was one of the easiest Cakes I've ever done. This really is fun and simple to do, highly recommend doing this with your kids, they will love helping, was lots of fun!!White cake baked in metal mixing bowl, crumb coated with chocolate frosting and wrapped in fondant with candy clay spider, we used black licorice for the legs and rice cereal and marshmellow eyeballs (royal icing for whites & blood vessels and M&Ms for iris)

This was a lot of fun to make. The ghost has chocolate cake and butter cake with strawberry jam as a filling such that when it was cut into, it looked like it was bleeding. The spiders were chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting. I cheated on the pumpkins, those were the pre-fab marshmallow pumpkins. I would have make pumpking cookies, but I ran out of time.

Pipe cleaners for legs, goggle eyes, and plastic teeth, super easy to make, the trick is getting "black" icing instead of grey or purple!
