This is the second one of these that i make. The shoebox is a buttercake, layers of chocolate, vanilla and strawberry cake filled with strawberry and chocolate flavoured buttercream. The bag is a caramel mudcake. All covered in FondX. The shoe is made with gumpaste. I am happier with the shoe on this cake, as it is more to proportion, but i much prefer the handle on the first one of these I made. The logo on the bag was handpainted with gold dust and almond oil, it had DJ which is the girl's initials.

My first ever decorated cake^^ Made it for my mom's 43rd birthday because she loves converse. It's a horrible picture, but I'll get a better one up soon. chocolate with chocolate and vanilla bc frosting, and mmf to create the sides and lid. I had to make the box brown because I didn't have any black food coloring, so I just made it chocolate^^ No complaining here. Please keep in mind this was my first time working with Fondant, the only tools I had were a knife, toothpicks and a spoon, and I'm only 16

I got the directions from socakes for the shoe, a clearer picture is in my pictures. The shoebox cake is a lemon cake with buttercream and MMF. This was my first time making MMF- wow, so much better than the box stuff! The cake was for my supervisor/friend's birthday. It was a surprise- she loved it!

The purse is yellow cake with dulce de leche filling and the shoebox is yellow cake with whipped cream and fresh strawberries filling, chocolate MMF, I didn't really wanted to use any designer brand for the purse, so I used a rubber stamp with gold luster dust.

First request for a shoebox birthday cake for a young lady who was turning 21. She's majoring in fashion design. Shoebox iced in bc. Fondant barcode label and receipt with edible ink. I must give credit to my DH who did the writing with edible ink. He has a steady hand! I wanted to try doing a fabulous high heel like the ones I've seen on this website. So I tried my best at sculpting a shoe out of fondant. Used pearl shimmer dust to add sparkle to shoe. I'm pretty pleased with the result.

Made for my granddaughter when she worked in the women's shoe department at Nordstroms. The shoe boxes are gumpaste, as is the shoe and flowers. The tissue paper is real, The cakes were two separate 6" rounds inside the shoe boxes.

My sister loves shoes and since I can't afford to buy her any of the designer ones..I thought I would make her one out of gumpaste! I ran out of time so that is why the box doesn't look so great! Oh well:)

This was my very first major order, it was for a sweet 16 party. Mom wanted shoebox and purse cakes, thanks to many of the ideas that I incorporated from this website, I was able to do it. The shoebox lid is a MMF covered styrofoam rectangle. However, the bottom of box and handbag are cakes. I am really not that comfortable with fondant yet, so there were alot of little mistakes, they loved it though. The shoe was made from gumpaste. Any tips for working with fondant???

What a job!! The purse is pumpkin spice with cream cheese icing and MMF. The shoebox is yellow cake with buttercream icing and MMF. The shoe is gumpaste. The shoe took about 6 tries to get this one and although it is nowhere near perfect, I can live with it. I want to especially thank TToomer, socake and boonenati for all of the instructions and help with making this cake!!

Shoe/Shoebox & Purse cake. Had lots of problems with crumbs in the buttercream so next time I will crumb coat while the cake is still frozen. I learned a lot with this one so hopefully the next one will look better.

This cake is from a design by Boonenati, and I also followed her shoe tutorial, thanks Nati :) It's a caramel mud and a chocolate mud, covered in fondant, both "shoe boxes" are handpainted and the silver one has a lace cutter pushed into the fondant to create the pattern on the bottom.

here is the cake I made for my MIL. I made the 2 shoes in my photos as practice for this one. I originally was going ot make 2 boxes but thought I may be wasting cake so I changed up. I wasnt too pleased, but was probably too hard on myself. I think this is my 3rd time using fondant. anyway she loved it and so did everyone else. french vanilla cake (coffeemate) with shirley's bav. cream recipe and homemade fondant (not mmf)

This cake was a nightmare from start to finish. The shoe broke the night before the cake was due and I had to cobble together another one. The mom who ordered this cake for her daughter told me she wanted the cake to be "sassy". My 3 year old managed to lose my "y" so it's just sass! It doesn't look like I wanted, but I hope she likes it. I want to thank socake for sending me directions for the shoe (although mine doesn't hold a candle to hers!).

Here are some pictures of the cake I did for my daughter's birthday. It has a lot of firsts for me!! The shoe is of course from Nati's template (thanks Nati!). I made two of them but one of them broke! The shoe box is chocolate cake with coconut pecan filling and Mame's chocolate fondant. Yummy!! I did the lid out of styrofoam and I am proud of the way the bow turned out. I used a stencil and RI for the decoration on the sides of the shoebox. The purse is made of a white cake with vanilla fondant.

These were my first cakes that were ordered from a total stranger! They were for an 8 year old birthday party. Mommy wanted a brown & Pink 3 tier, a shoe and a purse but left the rest up to me
Thankfully I had my friend help me with these as I only had two days to get ready for them.
The mommy was so happy she jumped up and down with joy!

I made these cakes for a mother's day brunch that I had. The shopping bag is a chocolate cake with B/C filling covered in fondant, the purse is a yellow cake covered in B/C, and the shoe box is an orange cake with orange curd filling covered in fondant. They are covered in an edible image for the design and all accents are fondant. The shoe is made out of gumpaste. The theme for the brunch was fancy footwear.

My first attempt at a shoe & shoebox cake. I like my shoe, but the lid of the box drove me crazy and I'm still unhappy with it! 10in square chocolate cake torted, cut in half and stacked with vanilla buttercream. Covered with fondant with lots of lustre and sparkle dusts and gumpaste shoe.
