I decorated this cake in under 10 minutes. My son was hit with a baseball during practice just before his party, so I ran out of time. This is the 5th cake I have decorated since starting the Wilton classes (I am on course 2 now). I would love feedback!

I finally got a chance to break out my new airbrush DH got for me for my birthday! I used the wondermold on top and a 10 inch round on the bottom. She is iced in buttercream and I used MMF for all the accents. I was trying to be fancy and write with the airbrush but I think I need more practice - but the airbrush is my new favorite toy!!

I made this cake for my daughter's birthday which had an "Under the Sea" theme. The fish are made out of Air Heads candy that I roled out. The sea weed is made out of Fruit Role-ups.

Combo cake for boy and girls birthday party. I'm not happy with the colors, the green was suppose to be more of a kelly green but I only had 1 days notice and no kelly green coloring in the house. Good thing it's for family!

This cake was adorned with mmf starfish and shells made from a fondant mold. I airbrushed them lightly to give them a realistic look. Waves piped on cake and pressed flat with cornstarch-dipped finger.

These cookies were so fun to do. They were for my friends annual Luau. There are Lobsters, crabs, sea turtles, palm trees, suns and fish. No fail sugar cookies with royal icing.

Used color flow for Nemo, Jellyfish, and black and white fish. Everything else is buttercream. Octopus came out a bit too thick, but it was a learning experience - first time for this theme. Used Royal Icing for sea flowers and sea anemone. Used candy rocks for the sea rocks. Had a blast doing this one!

Here is my try at the 3d Nemo. Thanks for all the great ideas here on this site!!!!! This was a really fun cake to make! All choc. cake with The Buttercream Dream frosting (Recipe from this site too.) I used the 3d Egg pan for Nemo..flowers and "seaweed" are fake...the "sand" is crumbled up graham crackers. I don't think its too bad for a first try, but I know now what to do different next time! Thanks for looking!

This is the third cake I've made outside of my Wilton courses. I made this for a 10-year-old girl who was having an "Under the Sea" themed birthday. Cake iced in buttercream. I was much more relaxed with this cake. And, the process is finally starting to speed up just a little... I guess I'm just starting to have my own routine.

Bruce is MMF for a Nemo cake I am making. Thanks to sweets2eats inspiration he will come out of the cake with fins emerging from the bottom layer. Will post the finished cake.... I may need to reinforce him once he dries as he is hollow.

I made these cookies for the church's VBS, themed "SonTreasure Island". I'm not much of a cookie baker or decorator, but this site made this task easier. Whew - I have a new found respect for the cookie decorators out there!

That was a joke for a couple of friends which name is "chicks" in french (so, it is "poussins") that's why there are chicks print in the sand !
Sand and sea are buttercream, fishes, turtle and shell are white chocolate, mats and bottle of Champaign are Marzipan.

this was made for one of my biggest customers and she orders this flavor often. It is a Lemon Lovers white chocolate cream cheese cake. Lemon filling between 2 layers of lemon white chocolate cake. Iced with lemon and white chocolate cream cheese. The FBCT and boarder and B/C icing and some luster dust on the dolphins to make them a little more pretty. I wish I were a good photographer because the cakes always look better in person!

I made this for my nephew's b-day, he went through the wilton book and picked this cake out. It is not exactly the same as the cake in there it is missing a layer but I thought it turned out pretty good for only being my 4th cake. The fondant for his fins and eyes were my first experience with fondant and it was neat but it tasted NASTY!! I am not sure I will ever use it again. He loved the cake and he at the fish by himself (pound cake).

This cake was done for a good friend's boys--1/2 the cake was Bruce the shark for a 4y/o and the other 1/2 was Nemo for the 2 y/o. The decorations are MMF and tootsie rolls. The kids loved it!

Here is a better pic of Bruce in MMF. The front of the cake had "aquarium" rocks and the back showed bruce. The sand is graham cracker ofcourse. Bruce did break on me--I had to repair him with royal icing and extra fondant inside and he was very sturdy then. I formed him over a "random" saran wrapped object--football shaped sort of and that was very easy to work with.

This is a birthday cake I made for my mom. It is butter cake with Raspberry & Peach filling. The bottom layer has a buttercream filling. I was totally inspired by A cake by Mac. Thank you so much for the inspiration! There were many things I would have liked to have done better, but I learn something with every cake I do...how to get the fondant to stick to the cake board, add corn syrup to do the string work. Oh well, next time! Thanks for looking!
