This is a baby shower cake for one of the teacher's at my children's school. I worked until 11 am this morning, then got the message that they needed the cake by noon! I had originally been told 3 pm. I still had to do the eyes, bath mat, writing and borders! I had wanted to add more details, but didn't have the time.

This is a full white sheet cake iced in BC. The duckie is freehanded on the cake and was taken from the invitations/napkins used at the shower. I used the irridecent sparkles all over to give the cake the shimmery effect of water. The customer was very pleased with this cake.

This cake was for a boy's 1st birthday party with a rubber duck theme. Wilton duck pan for the top, 12" fondant covered pound cake bottom. The soap is made of white chocolate and the bubbles are the same buttercream used for the duck.
Thanks to CCer Lisa for the inspiration!

Fondant accents on this rubber duckie themed cake with a disaster bow that I just ruined. First time making one, hard lesson learned. Tons of doctoring before it left. Cruddy. I was happy with the rest of the cake so it was a bummer.

This was a very simple cake for a friend's baby shower - just a layer cake, rubbyer ducky from the store, and bubbles all around!

This cake was baked in my oval roasting pan to make the shape of a tub, then i used Wilton's ducky pan, and placed him inside, decorated with icing, the bubbles are royal icing, made ahead and dried. THe soap is another piece of cake decorated in soft icing, patted smooth with cornstarch - should have used fondant, but I was in a rush!

This was a bit of a flop. The cake had not been refrigerated for long enough when I added the whipped cream so it melted all over the cake. This was for my dd's first birthday.

This is my fourth cake, made it from scratch...
It combines my love for rubber ducks with the colour theme of my favorite Ice cream salon
in my birthtown (blue and yellow).
Made it for the ice-cream lady and she loved it.
Filled it with a chocolate mousse, and some orange liquor drops...

This is for my son's 1st birthday rubber ducky ! It is banana cake with chocolate ganache and marshmallow fondant. I made the large duck that fed 30 people along with the mini cake for him. It was a big hit. He loved it!
