When my sisters boyfriend turned 49, I gave him this one.
It was for give my own name to his gueasts.
They loved it. For their next party they will come to me.
But I had a rose made of flowerpaste on it, and that I will never do again. It started to melt. Toooooo bad.

I took this design from a gorgeous 2-tiered cake I saw on this site (I think?) I just loved how it didn't need an inscription and the colours were so fresh.

This is my brother and sister-in-law's wedding cake. She and I designed this together. It is chocolate, white and strawberry cake. Iced in ivory BC. The flowers were fresh pink roses. My brother made the cake toppers out of metal. I baked this cake and made all the icing here at home and traveled 9 hours and put it all together. On top of that, I was a bridesmaid, my 1 year old was a ring bearer, and my husband was co-officiating the wedding. We were BUSY that weekend! Thanks for looking!

Birthday cake for teachers' birthday. My first paid cake! It's 40 cupcakes, half yellow, half chocolate with buttercream icing. I charged $35.00...is that a good price? I'm still unsure about the whole pricing thing.

These roses are made out of royal icing and they are actually a very pretty purple. In every pic they show up blue. I don't know why.

I found these this past weekend, and thought I would see how they looked. I used luster dust to color them, and they were a little difficult to color. They didn't want to "take the color" Also, you can see fingerprints on each petal. They come in all white, and they'd probably be ok for those last minute things, but probably not for all the time. Let me know what you think.

This is a half chocolate half white cake iced in all buttercream. Got the verse from a birthday card at the store and thought it would be appropriate.

French vanilla cake with Buttercream Dream icing. Starburst Roses. I made my SIL a cake with Starburst roses and took it to her work place and one of her employees saw it and wanted the Starburst roses for his wedding cake. He actually ordered the cake not the bride! He loved it and so did his mom. I really need some opinions whether they be good or bad. Thanks for looking.

This is a two teir cake with three sattelite cakes. A lighted fountain resides under the first teir, giving it an elegant touch. All icing on the cake is buttercream icing, including the roses atop each layer. The wedding colors were burgundy and hunter green.

Really nervous about doing a tiered cake, but it was for I was asked by my family to make the cake for my Aunt's 90th Birthday. Family's are forgiving so I thought I would try this cake. Here is the cake. I thought it called for and old fashioned delicate style and the handkerchief and peach roses (Her favorite color) seemed to fit the bill. Both layers are Vanilla cake.. bottom layer is raspberry filled and the top layer was pineapple cream cheese filled. Covered with buttercream and overlayed fondant.

This is a small 6-8" double layer white cake with buttercream frosting. I hadn't done roses in a while and took me quite a few tries to get these....needless to say I plan on practicing a lot more! This was a birthday cake I did for my mom. :)

This was my first wedding cake. I made the flowers out of gumpaste. The swags were fondant. The cake was covered in fondant with royal icing piped on and brushed like embroidery. It was a snow white vanilla cake with chocolate mousse filling. The top tier was chocolate cake with chocolate mousse. I'll never forget the feeling of accomplishment when I finished it!

It took a long time to finish the roses, but I love the way the cake turned out. Nobody wanted to cut into it.

Roses and Rosebuds from Tootsie Roll candy. All the rest chocolate buttercream. Chocolate cake with 2 layers of dulce de leche filling and 1 layer of chocolate buttercream.
This cake will go to work for the usual weekly cake I take..I don't know why my bc is streaky looking..always happens with chocoate but I like the look of this one.

MMF covered cakes and gumpaste roses. I would have done the scrolls in white, but the bride & groom wanted purple. My first time covering with MMF...it took a bit to get used to it!!

I was asked to do a wedding cake by my church for someone they were helping out. So I did this just for the cost of supplies. It is yellow and chocolate cake on each layer with baverian cream filling. Fondant roses and MMF for the cake. There is a lot I learned about doing a wedding cake. Please tell me what you think, good or bad that is how you learn to do better!
