This was my final cake for my Wilton III class. I was inspired by the cake on the cover of the Wilton's Romantic wedding cakes book. I am making a cake for my brother-in-law's wedding this June. I took the Wilton classes to get ready for his wedding cake. His future bride saw the photos of this cake and absolutely loved it and wanted it for their wedding. It will be a 3-tier version of this one. I used my homemade marshmallow fondant and made the gum paste roses myself. That was so much fun!

This cake was made for a display, so it is styroform covered with fondant and royal icing border, leafs and roses. It was lot easier to transport:-)

This was a cake for my intermediate decorating class. It's very frilly, but I enjoyed learning the techniques. I used Cake Craft's Aqua blue color and the buttercream came out looking like a Tiffany box. I hadn't exactly planned to make that color.

Wiltons romantic castle cake kit. Wow, did this ever take a long time!
I worked on this thing for 4 days after my real job. Making the fondant, flowers,
They loved it, so I guess it was worth it.

A romantic wedding cake with doves, sugar roses, silver pearls and white drapes.
Everything is handmade of sugarpaste, the cake is filled with straciatella mouse.
I used a rolling pin with a motiv to create a special effect.

Happy baking and greetings Eros

I'm uploading my favourite cake first! I made this for a friend's 40th, and as she's a romantic fiction fan, I gave her her very own Highlander.
I took apart an Action Man and made a mold, then studied real highland kilts. The claymore sword is a letter opener (and a keepsake for her) and the bottle is the candle.

i made this for my anniversary. it's our joke that we never get to go out alone and the last time we did it was to have another kid at the hospital. the little faces peeking out from under the tablecloth are our 3 kids (ages 4, 3 and 8 months)

NEVER again will I make this cake! For a first bday. The towers, which were not attached, fell during transport (they were in a box).I couldn't for the life of me get the towers to stand up on the cake, they kept falling down. The dowels would not stay attached b/c it was too hot for the candy melts to stay firm.I had to do away with the top towers and just put the cones on.
Cake is chocolate, bc icing, mmf. Cupcakes are WASC, rasp. filling, cream cheese icing. Smash cake is carrot applesauce with bc icing

I made this for my daughters 7th birthday. I used the Wilton Romantic Castle kit I borrowed from a friend. I was relatively easy to use but the directions were a little confusing. Wasn't completely clear how to attach the dowels to the towers. MMF flowers, buttercream icing.

10" & 6" rd WASC with chocolate ganache filling. Fondant accents.
This was for my little sister's 9th birthday. She came up with the color scheme and how she wanted it to look like white stones. She loves WASC cake and begged me to do this for her. And of course, she always gets what she wants. She helped cover the cone parts with fondant and cut out the squares and flowers. I learned a lot that I will do differently next time, but am proud of how it turned out anyway.

This is a cake I made inspired by the Tiffany blue and all things jeweled and apparel. They are 4" high, 4", 6", 8" and10" round. I super pearled the whole thing which really made it sparkle and shine. It's amazing how pretty a totally pearled cake is in real life!

My sister's birthday is the day after the 1st day of spring... but she wanted a penguin cake. Go figure! Anyway, I love this cake, and I'm so glad I made it for her! It was kind of a pain to have to assemble it once we got to our grandparent's house, but everything turned out all right in the end (even if one of the towers did fall off after I took the picture!)

This was my sister's bday cake this year. Cinderella is her favorie princess, but there are 5 store-bought dolls on the cake (they're kind of hidden behind the towers, hard to see in this pic) This wa smy second time usin the romantic castle set from Wilton, and it was a better experience this time than the last time.
