This is my first attempt at disney's ASleeping beauty with rolled BC fondant ......I had a bit of a hard time w/ the dress because I didn't make the cake high enough for proportion so I filled in under the top part of her dress with crusting buttercream to try and compensate ....lesson learned I will make sure the cake is plenty big from now on : ) This was a practice one for another sleeping beauty I am making next Friday for a little girls Birthday party!! Thanks for looking

These are my first professional cakes. They were used for a baptism reception. Thus the rosary, the two tier one is to tie the color scheme and the "small jewerly box cake" represents the little girl.

I am a newbie at decorating and I made this Kim Possible cake for my daughter's 5th birthday. My first stab at fondant...homemade buttercream rolled fondant which was difficult to work with considering the heat and size I had to roll out to cover the cake ( the fondant does not taste great because of the dark purple color). The cake is an alternating 4 layer yellow and chocolate cake with vienna cream filling.

This is my first doll cake. I made it for my friend's oldest daughter's high school graduation party. It is covered in RBC/homemade fondant mixture and the front is frosted with BC and small drop flowers to match her grad robe and the dress she wore underneath. AND, it made it all in one piece!!

Our baker hurt his hand very badly in one of the machines 2 weeks ago and will not be able to bake for another 4-6 weeks minimum. His wife has been taking over the bakery and is really tired already. She bakes non stop from 3 am till 6 pm and I really mean non-stop. I wanted to show appreciation and made her this cake. Choc cake (good for the Nerves) with cranberryjamfilling, covered with choc. rolled Buttercream mixed with Fondant, ribbon roses and BC Leaves

The club cover is cake and the sticks are foil covered straws. Thanks to everyone on this site for the golf bag cake inspiration!!

The tiered cake was one I found on the internet. My thanks to the designer! I made it a yellow cake with Buttercream Icing. The dots, stripes, and bows are all made from rolled fondant. The Strawberry Shortcake was made of strawberry cake for my neice to "tear into" for her first birthday (I forgot the eyelashes - oops!). The cupcakes and the small strawberry are also strawberry cake. The candy pieces were bought.

This design came from a Wilton book. I couldn't find the baby angel in my area so I ended up making it with rolled fondant. The pink half circles and uppercase letters are also rolled fondant. the rattles and blocks were store bought. The drop flowers are made of royal icing (since I never could make a nice Buttercream drop flower directly on a cake). The rest of the cake is decorated with Buttercream Icing.

The water is piping gel tinted with blue. The floats are rolled buttercream. The customer told me which floats they had, so that is what I made so the child would know it's supposed to be his pool.

cake is 3 2 layer white cakes iced with rolled buttercream. Swirls almost taste like fudge becasue I put so much cocoa in this icing. The topper isn't on it yet, and neither are the daisies that will be put on randomly. Im hoping to get another pic of it at cake cutting time. I don't know who to give te credit to for the design of the cake. The bride cut a pic out of a magazine and said that this is what she wanted. There are a few changes made to it, though.

My first attempt using rolled buttercream. Fussy, fussy stuff! I followed every bit of advice and tip and trick, and it still ripped under its own weight as I tried to smooth it on the cake. But it does burnish to a nice gloss, and it tastes like tootsie rolls.
