This cake was done for a Dana employee. It was 1/2 triple choc. cake and 1/2 Fr. Vanilla cake with butter cream icing. Nothing fancy just plain and simple.
In the corner of the cake where the blank spot is, the company stood their logo up in the corner, per their request.

I shipped this cake nearly 1,000 miles to Chicago. They say it arrived with only a couple of 'dented in places' on each side. It's a 10" square cake, cut in half, 3 layers tall. Those are Hostess donuts for wheels. All fondant decor.

The layers are WASC w/ cookies and cream filling, chocolate w/ peanut butter filling, and WASC w/ cheesecake filling. The cake is iced in BC, and the flowers are royal icing.

I had a tough time deciding which category to put this in. Technically it is a retirement cake but the last retirement cake I made, was not viewed much so I am taking a chance with putting it in here. I guess it can be used if a father/husband/brother, etc. in your life is a cop. Buttercream icing, chocolate and white checkerboard cake.

11 x 9 inch caramel mud cake covered in mauve fondx with fondant accents. Ordered by a teacher for a teacher who was leaving. There was limited time and little budget so the brief was simple and keep the cost down. It looks a little plain to me but it is what was ordered.

This was a last minute cake. I wasn't getting what I asked for the cake due to a misunderstanding not on my part so I decided that the rope would be made out of BC instead of the fondant one I do! I think it turned out okay!

This poor cake totaly fell apart as I was taking it out of the pan ( I got in a hurry) guess I didn't let it cool long enough. There was crumbs everywhere but I made it work and heard that it was really good. I am glad that it was for the guys at my husbands job they don't care what it looks like and thank goodness because this one was not my best!!! LOL

This was for my dad who is an avid golfer and retired from working at a newspaper. It was his birthday and retirement day so I combined the two. Used a graham cracker for a "bridge" into retirement onto the golf course. All buttercream icing. Gave the guests a choice of cake by making the newspaper cake a devils food cake.

Retirement cake for my husband's co-worker. He was with the company for 36 years. I didn't want to make a regular 'ole sheet cake. It says "On the Road to Freedom! Happy Retirement Dave!" Buttermilk Chocolate cake, 2 layers filled with vanilla pudding and 1 layer filling with butterscotch pudding.

This is a butter cream frosted cake with chocolate wood planks on the sides, chocolate box on the top, with chocolate tools inside the box. I used a veggie peeler to make the shavings. Words are also make out of chocolate. Cake I believe is a 12" square. My grandfather loves wood working and plans to put accounting to the side to concentrate on his passion.

Enjoy!

White cake with buttercream and fondant ribbon/bow w/Silk flowers. I got the design from a picture - sorry, don't recall where the picture was from. The retiree loved it!

Amazing because I was asked Wednesday afternoon to make this cake for Thursday afternoon. I work full time 8:30 to 4:30. Was able to bake and decorate and get to the store for flowers all in one evening (I finished around midnight) all while picking son up from school and making dinner and cleaning up!

The "G's" in the writing are made to look like his brand.
This is a 10', yellow cake, custard filled. Buttercream icing and decorations.

This was my first attept at an 11 x 15 cake. Done all in buttercream. It was my most detailed cake and I think my best cake so far. I think doing a drawing and asigning colors and tips beforehand really helped.
