From the Wilton yearbook. Antlers are butter cookies, and cake is frosted with buttercream. The frosting near the bottom of his face got too warm from my hand, hence the color difference. Wanted to finish and got impatient. D'oh!

This was made from a 9" round pound cake. I trimmed it's face to make the ears. The icing is caramel. The eyes are peppermint patties, the nose is a lollipop, and the antlers are made of bread dough covered with sugar. The collar is also bread dough with M & M's on it. It was a big hit for my friend's 3 year old daughter.

Got this idea off another persons cake decorating website and I can't recall now where (it's been a while and I was pregnant at the time). A friend (tiffo) and I did this together for a Cookie Ornament exchange for Christmas. It was a blast!
Used BC, white cake. The topper is a snowflake cookie I made for the cookie exchange.

This is one of six cakes I made this weekend for the Make a Wish Christmas party. The pond was made with clear piping gel over the buttercream icing. Royal icing ice cream cone trees and plastic decorations. The snow is powdered sugar with sparkling sugars to add shine.

An 8 inch fruitcake which is being donated to a local scout group to raise money for their Jamboree.
Santa and the reindeer are made with modelling paste, the antlers are royal icing. This design is taken from the book "A Cake for Christmas" by Karen Davies

Santa and friends at the beach. Comes from the 2007 Wilton Yearbook, my 1st time "copying" fromt the yearbook with a couple of minor alterations. Thanks for looking :)

This is a birthday cake I made for my mom. She loves Christmas and the beach so it was a big hit to combine the 2.

This is my first attempt at flood icing with royal icing. I have learnt a few lesson about bubbles in the icing and the thickness of the icing but quite happy with the result. It did break as I took it off the paper but it is a practice one for my Christmas cake, which is fruit cake and will be left to mature.

These were my next two attempts at sculpted figures. A little more difficult...especially when I dropped them and had to "glue" them back - not so fun! lol

These are "bite sized" iced Christmas cookies. I used NFSC and Antonia's icing. I seem to like them better I think than the larger ones because they are small. Their tininess makes them cuter than the bigger ones I've done. I like the large ones too, just for some reason I really liked the bite sized ones.

The picture loses some of the detail - the white wraps at the bottom are cut to look like snow drifts. It's not completely finished yet, each of the three reindeer will be holding a sign wishing someone farewell, happy birthday, etc. to people at my friend's school (my friend's idea). It's my first time trying to sculpt anything, so while they're not perfect, it was fun.

I got the idea from another user here, so special thanks to Doofusmongerbeep :) I actually couldn't get the antlers to work out and my Fiance had a hard time too, even though he is the cookie king, so I cut them out of another cake pan and frosted them! This is my first attempt at making a character cake.

Along with the reindeer which are accented with Cut Pretzels for the antlers & M&M for the eyes & noses.

I made these cucpcakes for Christmas last year for my colleagues at work. I've been decorating cakes for a few years now for family and friends and I'm interested in any kind of feedback as I'm interested in doing this as a side business.

Iced in BC with royal Icing Santa/sleigh on rice paper, and fondant accents. This didn't turn out quite as good as I hoped it would. It was for my cake decorating class last year.
