This is a three-tier fondant cake that I created when my husband became a US citizen. We threw a party for him and I designed this cake to celebrate the occasion.

This for a young girl who loves red white and blue. I did her cake last
year and she wanted the same colors. She told her mom if I couldn't
make it she didn't want a cake. That made me smile...

This a 9x13 choc with BC and MMF flag and stars. My first flag and thought it came out pretty good. They loved the cake and I loved doing it!

Used a white cake, divided into three bowls. Dyed one bowl red and another bowl blue with food coloring. Baked the remaining plain white, layered the three, iced with white icing and put dyed coconut on the sides. blue icing and red hots for accents. This was actually for a friend who was accepted into the fire academy, so topped it with a fire truck.

One of my first paid for wedding cakes. The groom picked the design and the bride just said OK. It's not as nice as I had wanted, but they loved it. I guess thats what counts. Thanks for looking!

My daughter made this for Memorial Day. Its a red velvet mix cake with cream cheese frosting and fondant decorations she cut out with cutters. She insisted on the thing she has poked in the top that looks like fireworks.

Graduation cake, french vanilla cake with rasperry filling, iced in all buttercream. Funny story with this one, I got the whole thing iced, and realized I sliced it for filling, but never filled it. Needless to say, I was a little upset. I had to remove the top half and put on a cookie sheet until I could add the filling and restack. All in all, I don't think you could tell the sides were iced and re-iced. Next time I won't allow myself to get so distracted. :o)

Patterned after my delicate wedding cake (see photos). Cake is covered in fondant and decorated with buttercream. The BC gave me all sorts of problems while trying to do the drop strings. Next time I'm using royal icing.

For a Friend's daugther's,Red White & Blue theme. Cupakes are white and choc. with colored BC & matching choc. wafer grad hats or diploma. Cake was Gluten Free covered in BC, I made the Ski equipment for the Ski Champion from Gumpaste (first attempt). I had planned a Fondant graduate like ladyonzlake but I ran out of time, (having a baby 12 days earlier really takes a lot of energy) Only had skin stuff done.) Thanks to Rainbow for sheet cake pic w/grad choc. It all turned out & they were really please.

LOL. This cake is not red, YELLOW, and blue...it's actually just a hair off-white. I didn't have whitener for my cream cheese icing but you couldn't tell till I took the pic. (There is yellow lighting in the classroom) I am pleased with the way this turned out...after the icing was melting down the side of the cake (94 degree weather with no AC in the car) and I stuck my finger in it about 6 times (I'm a clutz today!). Today was NOT my day for cake decorating! Hope you like it though.

Never again will I do red! (well, maybe but not for a while). I started with chocolate buttercream, added 1 full bottle of red food coloring, 1 packet of Kool-Aid, and 2 1/2 containers of Wilton No Taste Red. Then of course I had to add more powdered sugar to regain the consistancy. All in buttercream. Smoothing was a nightmare because as soon as I started, the flood gates opened and the humidity was horrible! I thought the cake was going to melt! I guess it came out alright.
