This cake features hand modeled marzipan roses. They sit atop a marzipan cake filled with raspberry filling and iced with vanilla Italian meringue buttercream.

9x3 bottom and 6x6 top...I probably should've added a bow or ribbon to the bottom box...The idea was to have two different gifts, as you would with real ones, which you stack on top of each other.

2 Layer White cake frosted with Wilton's Decorating Icing and topped with a purple bow made from the MMF recipe from this site (very good recipe by the way)... with a purple trim at the bottom, & white swirls all around. First time to do the swirls and I hope to get better with more practice.

Okay, bare with me here. I am new to mmf I really like it alot especially that it's cheap to make!! Whoever thought up this idea is just brillant! I guess it'll take some pratice for me with covered the cakes with it. I had to put the roses all over the side like this because I had a huge wreck on the side (it ripped and rippled) This was my first time making the fondant roses too. I really need some pratice. I am not even real sure If I am doing it right or not.

This a double layer 6" Bride's White Cake iced with frosting that was a mix of cali4dawn's buttercream recipe and white chocolate buttercream frosting. No special filling, just all frosting. The cornelli lace was made with a deep purple color. This cake was a donation to a bake sale for a community fundraiser for "HOPE for Single Mothers". My work was looking for volunteers, and since I could not attend, I decided to donate 3 small cakes for the bake sale.

This is my first teapot cake. The teapot, tea cup, and base are all made out of cake. This took me so many hours.

I made this to try out a new cake an icing on friends at my former work place. They're my more than willing guinea pigs. It's french vanilla with dream whip icing. The icing was a little grainy when I made it but hope it's not when it's cut. The icing was also a little soft for the drop flowers but they came out okay. One of those things only the decorator knows. I took this after it was tented in plastic, to explain the shine.

My husband asked me to do a cake for him. I had an extra box of yellow cake mix and some purple buttercream already made up, so I said "Sure". He had a hard day working today unexpectedly and got called out at 4 in the morning. I tried brush embroidery for the first time. It's so easy.

Mothers have big hearts, thus the heart shaped pan. She loves purple so we covered the cake in marbelized purple rolled buttercream. The numbers, lace around the heart, and the butterflies are cut from fondant and dusted with luster dust. The flowers are made of gumpaste and dusted with luster dust as well.

This was the first wedding cake I've ever done. I just finished setting it up and I'm anxious for the big day tomorrow! As nerve racking as it was I'd definitely do it again!

There are royal icing roses all around the top of each cake (probably jsut under 200). The roses are white with 1/3 tinted purple and another 1/3 tinted yellow. There are tiny doves on the cake and the rose buds on the top and in the middle are silk. Thanks for looking!

This is the same practice cake as Pink Blossom before adding all else. Not too happy with how the fondant covering came out...

This couple wanted it all... stars, bears, mint, purple leaves, ganache. It was difficult to put it all together but I think I did it without being too busy. It was a hit!

The flowers are Wilton fondant, but the covering is MMF. I hated how the fondant turned out. I couldn't get it on there right to save my life. I liked doing the flowers though.

This is my 3rd Course I cake. It was my first time doing roses, so it took me a bit to get the hang of them. Got lots of compliments! Marble cake.

16", 10", and a 7" wedding cake. My first one. It has about 30 or more royal icing purple petunias on it. The floor at the reception site was uneven so the cake leaned a bit. It stood staight at home. I used the Wilton fountain with the cascade tier set.

I made a cake trying new recipes & ended up using the cake for my in-laws' anniversary. It's white wedding cake with strawberry filling & snow white buttercream (my very first attempt at BC). The top of the cake has a heart with their initials (like when you first fall in love) & all kinds of "love words." The sides has hearts with "28" written inside - that's how many years they were celebrating. It turned out pretty good & they loved it!

This cake was done for my boyfriend's neice. She had been asking me for 3 weeks to make her a cake while she's here for the summer, so I made one in her favorite color. The cake is a white cake turned into a grape jello poke cake. She loved it :D

The wedding's colours were silver and lilac, so this matched perfectly.

The cake was Tahitian Vanilla filled with fresh strawberry buttercream, in 6", 9" and 12" tiers.

The lady who ordered the cake wanted the cake design to match the baby's room! Black and white checks, purple w/splashes of yellow and orange! I didn't know what I'd do, but I love the way it came out! 3 Layer choc fudge cake w/raspberry filling (thanx ladycakes!) and BC frosting....& fondant decor! Whew!

Nobody around here really celebrates Mardi Gras, so I had to do a bit of research online for this Birthday Cake. I learned all about the King Cakes, beads and the 3 colours. (Makes me want to visit New Orleans next year!!)

I made the masks first out of gumpaste and detailed with tiny silver dragees. I used real ribbon for the masks.

Liked the idea of the harlequin pattern, so that was all done in fondant diamonds with larger silver dragees for detail. I copied the rope border from a cake found online.

this was for an anniversary their colors were eggplant and burnt orange and it really did come out those colors but in the picture it looks halloween orange and puke purple. The roses were put on right away but dried out and flaked off the edges of the roses which was frustrating.
