I'm not happy with the way it turned out, but my customer loved it. I think I could do a LOT better. It didn't come out like I wanted it to at all. I can only see what I should have done differently when I look at it. Chocolate cake, cut and layered to resemble a car, fondant icing and buttercream piping.

Police-themed cookies for the department's graduation tomorrow.

Made the badges with a template because couldn't find one that 4" size in time...but did see one a www.kitchengifts.com I liked!

Cars are from the Mustang cookie cutter on the same site and just cut the 8 sides from a regular circle for the stop signs.

Cookies are gingerbread and chocolate sugar cookies.

This was a 9" chocolate fudge cake with an edible image on top. I made the image on my computer at work and added the badge number and name. It was for a lady that was promoted to sergeant at our local city police dept.

You guessed it Fred is a cop; yes k-9 squad;Officer Fred, badge number 777, turned 30 (see Scooby's dog tag?); his favorite uncle who ordered two cakes for him said.. "he's really a kid who never grew up & still likes Scooby Doo." Both the police kid and Scooby are made of chocolate. (Ok, the cake edges are not perfect, & I wanted the chocolate border on the Scooby cake to look like paws.... but Fred loved the designs & the chocolate)

This was one of three cakes made for my co-workers at the 9-1-1 Center for National Telecommunicator Week. We dispatch for Police, Fire and EMS so I made cakes representing those three.

I really loved the plates, etc. for this theme- so cute! The mom wanted a half sheet cake shaped like a 1, so this was the result. Fun cake to do!

Did this for a friend's wife who has served with the New Mexico State Police for five years and is now "going gold". Badge and stripe are almond cake with marshmellow fondant icing and patch is chocolate cake with marshmellow fondant icing. Badge and patch were carved from 8" squares set on a 13"x19" board to give you a good idea of how big they are. All details done by hand.

This is not a good picture because the cake coloring came out really dark (see other picture for better coloring). Anyway, this is the picture of the complete set of handcuffs.

Boy I wish Wilton would give full instructions on the variations of their pans, I find this sooooo difficult! Had to change the uniform to match our coppers here in NZ. It’s for my BIL - his birthday was while we were away a few weeks ago and this is a last minute BBQ…. So here is my last minute cake!!!! Oh dear

This is a Yellow Cake with Strawberry filling and Chocolate Syrup Icing. The decoration is a replica of a police badge (pictured to the left). I painted the image on fondant and laid it on top of the cake. This cake is for a Life Celebration of a Police Lieutenant who was killed in a car accident. She was off-duty at the time. Very tragic story, she was only 41yo and a 17yo boy who was driving too fast killed her and himself. I am hoping her life partner likes it, I think she will.

Let me start out by saying that I am not happy with this cake at all. I used BC for everything except for the lights on top, windshields, and tires. It was so hard to try and get the icing smooth, and I didn't have any extra since my Wal Mart ran out of powd. sugar. If I would have just had more icing........

I had a tough time deciding which category to put this in. Technically it is a retirement cake but the last retirement cake I made, was not viewed much so I am taking a chance with putting it in here. I guess it can be used if a father/husband/brother, etc. in your life is a cop. Buttercream icing, chocolate and white checkerboard cake.

For police chief who is retiring. He loves to ride Harley's. She wanted it to have both themes, which was extremely hard for me. The police badge and hat are supposed to look like they are blowing away in the wind, but I don't think it really does. All BC,
