I made this cake for my daughter's birthday pool party. The entire cake is edible; the people in the pool were figure piped, blue gel was added over the blue buttercream "water" to give a more realistic appearance. Beach balls are large gumballs. The woman in the blue bathing suit is floating in a buttercream "inner tube".

I did this cake for my family reunion using piping gel to transfer the pattern that was used on out shirts. I liked how the design turned...HATED everything else. If it weren't for my family this cake would be in a ditch somewhere.

Ok, one other cake that I did for my bro's graduation. A Nalgene Waterbottle. Don't know about the rest of the nation, but Nalgene's are a HUGE hit with everyone in Washington! :) I iced it in red buttercream, then iced over that with red piping gel.

I did the ever so popular Wilton Rainbow Cake for my Wilton Course I. This was just a practice cake. I'm sure at some point, everyone will make this cake if you take the Wilton Course. I hope I did an ok job!

This was my first attempt at figure piping. I love the pink elephants for a 21st birthday! I ended up doing another one the same week for a co-worker's daughter! Such fun!

In Switerland, the chef had us each pipe Sacher onto every slice of the Sacher torte. Can you tell which one is his! haha.

I made this cake for my Grandmother. French vanilla cake, brandy IMBC. Stained glass is outlined in candy melts tinted dark grey and filled in with colored piping gel.

Just practicing. Carrot cake with Cream Custard and Carmalized Pecan filling. Cake iced with cream cheese frosting and piped with stiff cream cheese/buttercream combo. Roses were a bit soft but I was still able to shape them. Tasted delicious if I say so myself.

10, 8 & 6" round cakes for the waterfall made out of piping gel. The flowers are silk and the parrots are cardboard. Satellite cakes are a half flower and 2 dolls made with the wonder mold and some $1 store dolls. The sand is brown sugar and the shells are real. The flip flops are candles. The girls names were on the hula skirts and "Feliz Cumpleaños was written on the sand. The mother loved this cake. Things I would change: make water lighter and end with the sand and smaller flowers for the girls.

Two layer 8" round cake, iced in buttercream; sides lightly airbrushed. Divide the sides into 4-6 sections by piping a border down. Hearts are cut-outs of fondant. All piping done with tip 18. Great for Valentines' day; birthday; anniversary or other events.

This is the two-step buttercream someone brought over from the Wilton site. Lovely to work with and not very sweet. The design was transferred over via a buttercream outline, just like a piping gel transfer, but I was running out of gel and wasn't sure I had enough to spare. The buttercream outlines worked fairly well. I got some skips in the design, but was able to fill them in. "Glass" is piping gel, of course. Next time I think I'll do an edible image, brushed with piping gel instead.

This is a confetti cake with bc icing that my daughter ask me to make for her friends 18th birthday. The image was transferred on with piping gel and filled in with Wiltons deco gel.

My friend asked me to do her bridal shower cake and since I had never made, I thought I'd make a practice cake. I ended taking it to work and made a lot of coworkers very happy :o) I also saved a couple slices to bring back home for my hubby. The bottom cake is a white vanilla cake. The top cake is a caramel cake. I filled both cakes with whipped vanilla pudding, very nice and light. I used Wilton's BC frosting for the icing and the decorations. This was the first time I painted the inside of my piping bag.

Okay, I really had trouble with my fondant this weekend. It looked absolutely perfect when I first put it on the cake, then all of the sudden, everything shifted and slid down the sides of the cake. I almost didn't post it because I"m so embaressed, but I know that we all learn from our mistakes, so I'd be happy to hear your comments. I was happy with the decorations though. The bride, my best friend, wanted bead work to look like the pattern on her dress, and it turned out really well.

I did this at Xiomara's Bakery Basic Baking Class... Basic Puerto Rican Birthday Cake decorated with a Beach Theme... The Sand is light & dark brown sugar. The sea is made out of blue piping gel mixed with royal icing. The clouds are smushed marshmallows. It also have gummy octopus, fish cheese cookies, a variety of plastic figures. I copied this design from another Cake Central cake, with just slight modifications. It's a 9x13 white cake torted and filled with strawberry jam. Covered in BC with BC decorations. I used piping gel to transfer the arrowhead on to the cake and used cookie cutters for the 40 and 50 as well as for a football design that's on the ends of the cake.

I made this cake just because I wanted to do a blue colored cake. It says "enjoy!" on the top, I faded the sides with 3 different shades of blue buttercream, and I drew a tribal band around the cake.

So here's my cake all finished. Some of you were very helpful in helping me out with this cake, so I say thank you. I made this just to practice my fondant and was tired of the cake I used to have. It was a lot of fun...my hands hurt from piping royal icing, but it wasn't too bad :) Entire thing has pearl dust on it, and pearls are hand rolled fondant.

12 x 3 round pan,chocolate strawberry cake,b/c filling and frosting,2 piped figures,and 2 polly pockets.i used taffy for the rafts and found out the hard way piping gel and taffy do not mix well together! they just melted into the gel.oh well i know better next time!!

This cake was made to replicate the nursery theme for the new baby. It is iced smooth with buttercream. I did a horizontal flip to make the image backwards then printed the design off of the computer . Then, using piping gel and tip 2, I outlined the design on the piece of paper. I then inverted the paper onto the cake. Once that was done, I decorated the design on the cake.

My nephew wanted a cake with a drumset for his high school graduation. The drumset is a replica of the drumset he uses in his band. Cake is iced smooth with buttercream. Design was transferred on with piping gel, then it was decorated with colored piping gel.

This cake is iced smooth with buttercream. Clifford was printed off of the internet, then transferred onto cake using piping gel. Clifford and other designs piped on using buttercream.

The water is piping gel tinted with blue. The floats are rolled buttercream. The customer told me which floats they had, so that is what I made so the child would know it's supposed to be his pool.

My BDay Cake inspired by the Whimsical Bakehouse Chcolate Better than ? cake with oreo cookies n cream filling and IMBC frosting. It was yummy! :-) I really want to try a whimsical cake again so i can practice this tilted look and get it correct. The WBH method didn't work well for me.

This was another cake completed in my intermediate class. We did piping gel tranfers for the outlines of the flowers, and then painted them with colored piping gel. The butterfly is made from wafer/rice paper using edible markers for the color. I went with a bit of a 70s vibe for this cake. The lavender piping gel was much less muted in person.
