This was my first wedding cake. It was for 40 people. It is a white almond flavored cake with raspberry filling and buttercream frosting. I used luster dust to accent the roses.

This bride's colours were black and pink, so I did the cookies with tiny pink dots for rosebuds and tiny green leaves. I toyed with doing the bottom border in black, but went with matching pink in the end. I was too afraid it would look weird on a wedding cookie!

We had some new neighbors move in so I threw together a cake at the last minute...its not very great, but I thought I would add it to my portfolio on CC.

I was so frustrated with this cake. The icing in-between the layers of the top tier kind of oozed out of one side. So I had to smooth it out upon delivery. My icing would not get smooth. I used the VIVA paper towel and that would not help. The bride wanted off white with light pink roses. My MMF pearls were darker than the icing. URHHHH! I am just glad that is over. Overall, I guess it was okay for my first wedding cake.

This is a vanilla cake I made for a girl from my sister's work. It's kind of a combination of a cake in a wilton book, and a rose top cake I saw on another decorator's website.

This was my first time using the Wilton cross pan. It is the hardest cake I have ever had to ice. The beveled edges are really a challnge. It was for my second cousins baptism.

This is my brother and sister-in-law's wedding cake. She and I designed this together. It is chocolate, white and strawberry cake. Iced in ivory BC. The flowers were fresh pink roses. My brother made the cake toppers out of metal. I baked this cake and made all the icing here at home and traveled 9 hours and put it all together. On top of that, I was a bridesmaid, my 1 year old was a ring bearer, and my husband was co-officiating the wedding. We were BUSY that weekend! Thanks for looking!

Birthday cake for teachers' birthday. My first paid cake! It's 40 cupcakes, half yellow, half chocolate with buttercream icing. I charged $35.00...is that a good price? I'm still unsure about the whole pricing thing.

This was a last minute cake for a work mate, luckily I was in the middle of making cupcakes and had mix left over for this small 5 inch round tin... a quick throw together but she was happy. Lemon butter cake with buttercream frosting. Gumpaste rose and plaque leftover from a recent course.

Well tonight I had the night off work ( I surprised my DH and Children) to attend a Welcome BBQ function at our school. Whilst my children were excited my DH was not so thrilled….. WHY I hear you all ask???

Well he had been working on various “bits” over the last few days and he was putting together a cake for me tonight for Valentines day which is in just a few short hours here in Australia.

The cake is a 6 inch Caramel Mud cake (Nati…. Ever since you gave us this recipe I have been addicted to it).

This was for a lady who wanted half of the cake chocolate and half white - the adults wanted chocolate, but the kids wouldn't eat it, so they had to have vanilla - right down to the frosting! So I had to come up with a way to make half chocolate, half vanilla, and still have it come out looking pretty!
It's buttercream with gumpaste roses. Thanks for looking!

This was for Valentines day for my mom that I took to her work, but I figured it could easily be a mother's day cake. Yellow cake, butterscotch filling, covered in BC with BC roses (my second attempt, so I know they're far from perfect still!)

This is my Course III Cake (design inspired from this web site). The roses are fondant -- please let me know if they look realistic. It took me a long time to make them. Overall I was pleased with how it turned out.

Topsy Turvy cake. Bottom 8"-3 layers. Top 5"-1layer and 6"-2layers. Made this for my 24th Golden Birthday last week. Butterfly's color flow wings and royal icing bodies. Roses BC, Daisies royal icing. White cake with BC filling and covered with MMF. This cake had to come together a lot faster than I wanted it too b/c of my schedule the week before and the day of the party. But once it was all done I was pretty happy with it. I did break my topper the day of the party and was quite dissapointed =(
