This cake is for a guy with the nickname "Chile". Chili peppers are individually sculpted and then placed on cake. Frosted with a flat tip, smoothed with small spatula then paper-toweled. Tip 352 for tops of pepper with tip 10 for stem. Turned out better than I envisioned.

Cake for fun to put in the teacher's lounge for Cinco de Mayo. 8" top layer, choc. w/raspberry; 12" bottom, vanilla w/strawberry. BC icing, MMF peppers and small accents. Clock on stove says 1:56 -- that's AM. Can we say "obsessive"? :) Much inspiration from several cakes on CC, especially tripletmom!!!

This cake gave me fits!! Just before I put dowels through the house it fell OFF the 8" cake! Aaaahhh! Thank God for crusting BC, it was actually repairable without too much trouble. The images at the bottom of the pic were around the 8" cake, all drawn freehand directly on the cake. I have a Joe & Blue candle for in front of the house too.

The only request was for it to match the mexican theme of the party, so I made a the cake into a big hot pepper and added a cutie with a sombrero ;) Little hot peppers around the bottom for trim.

I made this cake for an engagement party my brother threw for some friends. Thanks to doofusmongerbeep and Wilton.com for the inspiration. The round cake is Key Lime (man did that turn out good!) and the square cake is vanilla butter cake. BC for all icing except sombrero that was done with MMF... (I need to work on the drying technique for the brim) Peppers are done with red plastic chocolate. Enjoy!!

I didn't have the right ingredients at home to make my husband a cake. Emergency during holidays and went with 3 small flans (my first time too). Ingredients were soy milk, eggs and honey. The writings were in chocolate (freeze then put on top). My son and I came up with peppers theme because guess who loves peppers and spicey food.

In honer of Cinco De Mayo. For a wine tasting at a local store.
White Yogurt cake with lemon curd filling. Fondant over the top except the stem which is BC. First time ever really dealing with fondant in over a year and the first time dealing with this type of fondant (it's not Wilton) and it tastes pretty good.

I made this pizza cake for my good friend that can't seem to eat enough pizza. It is a 12" fresh strawberry cake iced in BC. The BC "dough" was tinted tan and then I airbrushed some brown over it. The pizza sauce is also BC. The melted cheese is melted white choclate that I smoothed over the red BC. All of the toppings are made from fondant. The grated parmesan on top is grated white chocolate. This was a lot of fun but next time I hope to have an even bigger round pan to use.

I made this cake at the same time that I made the cacti cakes. I made this cake by using a ghost pan. I trimmed off the arms and kind of shaped it to a pepper. My dh made the stem! He is so clever!! I rolled up a paper towel and coated it in my green icing.

DH's coworker had a birthday today. And she just finished MD!!! So here you go... Dr. Pepe! Yes, her name is Pepe... And that lady is a cute as a button! Strawberry and cream cake called for Berries & Cream can. Was a pain in the patella to get the colors right, but it came out alright at the end. Most importantly it was what my hubby wanted and I got thumbs up!! Thank you ladies
