This is a cake I did for a little girl that LOVED the little people. I made the little people and animals out of candy clay. Notice the little elephant hiding by the tree on the smash cake.

Back side of previously uploaded cake. Was one of my earlier cakes, had alot of fun making it resemble my sister and brother-in-law. The car is a cheat from the Party Store the theme of the party was, "Do You Remember 1955".Ached from all the stars though, this cake made me learn more piping so I wouldn't have to do that many stars ever again.

I was playing with this cake. It looked better in person than in the photo. I think the cakes with cookies for decoration are too cute. I need to keep trying...I believe I could better than this? Anyone have any ideas on how to do this better?

Made this for my 2 year old daughter's birthday. I couldn't get my mind around it so I purchased the Little People birthday set. I thought that an outside theme would be nice and I'm pleased with the way it turned out. Plus she got more Little People to play with (like we need more). Can I charge them rent?

Two layers, one side chocolate, one side white, iced with buttercream, covered with fondant and all decorations fondant. It didn't dawn on me 'til I was rolling out the fondant what a challenge it would be to get that big of a piece transferred to the cake - yikes!

Fisher Price Little People party, all BC. I mentioned to my 5 yr old that I was going to put the Little People figures "around the cake". What I meant was on the table, around the cake. Obviously he thought something else, because when I came back in the room he had put them all "around" on TOP of the cake - hee hee! He did a good job, it did look really cute and he could tell everyone he helped.

I did this for a friend who is a collector of Beatles stuff. I am proud that she has a picture of this cake framed among all her Beatles treasures.

This is my first try with gum paste. It is heavy! Over the course of the day, the Kids (my twin nieces) really started to tip to the back. Other really DUMB DUMB idea was to use jell-o! The gumpaste obviously started to melt!! STUPID, STUPID Idea!! Well, you live and learn. Maybe I should actually take a class or something! Anyway, all the family and friends thought it was cool. I really liked the Ivory soap. The lines in the tile messed up during transfer to my sisters house. Thanks for looking!

I saw the top part of the cake on this site which gave me an idea, so I decided to create a two tier for my niece and her husband as a surprise. All covered in BC, fondant figures and blanket. Royal icing lilies and fondant roses. Alot of work making flowers, but it didn't turn out too bad.

My first attempt at a cookie boquet. It was for my friend's birthday. I love the gingerbread people. These two are in swim suits. I should have taken the picture before bagging each cookie.

This was my first attempt at MMF. I got the idea from a graduation cake in a Wilton yearbook and modified it. I work in a medical lab and one of my coworkers is retiring. I colored my MMF teal because our company's colors are teal and white. The people are made of wilton fondant with gum tex added to it. Some are in white lab coats and some in yellow lab gowns like we wear at work. Cake is chocolate with strawberry filling and chocolate ganache under the MMF.

NFSC with Royal Icing (Antonia's). The 2 little people in the front are made to look (sort of ) like the people the gift is for. Her skirt has candy canes on it! I thought that was a fun addition :)

This cake was made for a family who adopted 3 small children. The three on the far right are the additions to the family. They wanted to celebrate! It's butter recipe cake with rasberry filling. BC icing. I thought it turned out really cute.

This was for a little girls b-day. It was my second attempt at this cake. I added a mud pit for the pig and had a pond in the back for the duck. You can see some of the pond in the left corner.

This one was for work for a few people that had bdays this month. I made each one to at least show the way they wear their hair to show which ones are which. They really got a kick out of it.

A couple celebrating 50 years together who love their garden. I started this design a few weeks ago and allowed more drying time than I usually do. But the longer it stood, the easier and better it was to add more to it! The only non-edible items are their spectacles which I made using gold wire. There's a butterfly on the roses but it isn't too clear....in fact, not at all! ha ha

Newfyicing and I worked on this cake tonight - she called and asked if I wanted to help her ( she knew I was going through caking withdrawl!) We think it is too cute and I think her friend will love it! We learned alot of what to do and what not to do for the next one. Iced in bc, fondant accents, white cake, oreo pudding filling. This was fun to do! Thanks for taking a peek!
