Chocolate cake with peanut butter icing. PB icing doesn't smooth well at all! Maybe I can talk the bride out of it. Ugh!

My husband came home for his R&R (he's halfway through his 18 month deployment) and he LOVES chocolate and peanut butter. The 4 tiers are chocolate fudge cake with peanut butter frosting. The designs on the side are chocolate and mini chips. There are Hershey's peanut butter kisses on the first layer (and one on top). The top circle is Reese's popables and chocolate drizzle. I thought it would be a better present than the normal Reese's peanut butter cups he gets :)

I used the egg pan for the peanut M&M and the 8" round for the plain M&M. The facial features were done as buttercream transfers.

Did this cake this weekend for mother's 60th BD. Cake is chocolate with Peanut Butter icing. Shells are fondant and chocolate, stones are jelly beans. Also used dragees, pearls, green buttercream for seaweed, crushed Nilla Wafers for sand. My mom was specific about cake and icing and wanted a bear on the cake, so I made one from fondant and hid it among the shells for her to find.

This was for a Youth Sunday celebration. I was told to do anything I want on the cake that might represent youth, but not to make it religious. I figured the Peanuts characters are timeless representatives of youth. They were pleased.

The woodstock smash cake was made by me and the snoopy cake was made by my aunt. Both cakes were for my daughters 1st birthday party. They were very cute together.

My sisters coworker insisted, that when I had time, she wanted me to make her a birthday cake. I thought this would be a good time to try out mini roses. They are just as difficult as their bigger counterparts. Practice will make perfect sometime. Chocolate cake, peanut butter filling, chocolate frosting, buttercream roses.

MMF covered 14 and 8" cakes scatterd with dried fondant leaves and mellowcreme pumpkins. The tree is hand-moulded MMF and the figurines are the 2006 Hallmark Collection. I just love the Peanuts gang at the holidays!

My first FBCT. I was so skeptical I put it on a frosted cake pan so as not to waste a cake. Some worming, but I was surprised how easy it was. I used a sheet protector as my surface. I just put a little crisco on it and it lifted right off no problems. I'll be doing this one again!

My new guitar pan came in the mail today and I have tickets to a Wilco concert this evening so I took it as a sign that I MUST make a guitar cake in honor of the occasion! Dark Choco Fudge cake with milk chocolate-peanut butter and cream cheese frostings. Fun! Fun! Fun!

I made this for a good-bye party at work. It's all edible. It's a three-layer chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting and filling. I made the chocolate box on top and filled it with some chocolate peanut butter balls I made. The tissue paper in the box is gum paste and the bows are chocolate fondant. It's my biggest cake so far... I was pretty happy with the results!

This cake recreates scenes from A Charlie Brown Christmas. Charlie is getting advice on holiday cheer from lucy and Sally is cuddling up to Linus, her blanket-clutching sweet baboo. I created all figures with marshmallow fondant. Charlie Brown's Christmas Tree on the front is also made of fondant. The cake itself is frosted with buttercream over double fudge cake.

Staring form the bottom up of the cake: The bottom layer is a thin layer (1/2 inch) baked cookie dough, then peanut butter cream (a mix of heavy whipping cream, sugar, vanilla and creamy peanut butter), then a chocolate cake moistened with kahlua syrup (Kahlua liquor and confectionary sugar) and the top layer is peanut butter icing ( heavy whipping cream, vanilla extract, Hershey's cocoa powder, sugar and peanut butter) and to finish I put some cut peanut butter cups.

SO delicious and rich, but soft and fresh tasting. Dipped in ganache then drizzled with peanut butter glaze. Outstanding remedy for a Peanut Butter Cup craving. First try at a recipe from this book; GREAT first impression! Thanks for looking.

I have no idea why I'm posting this cake other than that I thought the idea was really cool. A little boy wanted a PB&J cake and I figured why not LOL. It's all BC frosting (done roughly, my sad attempt at trying to make it look like bread!) and the jelly is piping gel that I colored purple. I took the pic before all the writing.
