Alp 1 is a Chocolate cake with peanut butter mousse and whipped cream icing. Pastrypuffgirl is out of fondant as is the ducks. The smaller of the Alps is a chocolate cake with chocolate hazel nut mousse. Her sister and I made this cake for her as she is leaving to go to Switzerland this weekend to bake in a pastry program there.

This cake I made for a celebration party after the Redsox won the world series. Big hit with the Redsox fans - not so much with the yankee fans

This cake was for our PAPA's 88th BDAY! Since it is hard to decide what to put on a cake for a man anyways I chose to do some of the local landmarks around our area. Roanoke if the Star City! So I used the Mill Mountain star and the BLUE Ridge mountains, then to the Lake! Visit the Star City of the south at www.roanoke.com

I made this cake in less than an hour (after baking). I was asked at the last minute to make a cake for a man that likes the mountains, fishing and camping. This is what I came up with from what I could find in the home.

This cake was a 1/2 sheet. I didn't have hardly any frosting dyes at home so I used what I had, that's why it's blue with a pink border, I tried to get some pink in the sky to blend in better with the picture. This was for a co-worker who was leaving.

This is a 3 layer butter cake. Covered in brown buttercream icing. The waterfall is fondant with a coat of piping gel for the shine. The trees are sugar cones, and the rocks are jelly bean pebbles. I made this for my brothers grooms cake. Inspired by a photo of a cake I had seen somewhere.

This is a full-sheet, 1/2 banana 1/2 chocolate-fudge-fill cake, with whip cream frosting. I drew the picture on a frosting sheet, then painted on with gels. (Took forever!)
This was for a great boss that was moving on to "other pastures".

This cake was ordered by a person who really loved the movie BrokeBack Mountain. This is the closest I could come to it.

As you can guess, i made this for a snowboarding fanatic. I used Madiera cake for this as it is a little firmer to work with than sponge. Dead easy to do, only took me a couple of hours one the cake had cooled.

I made this for a combined birthday party for my husband, his brother and brother's wife. All 3 of them love mountains, so what better than a mountain cake? My first attempt at cake sculpting, it was more challenging than I thougt. The splashes of colors on the sides were supposed to look like wild flowers from a distant, I'll do a better job next time :)

I live in the Adirondack Mts of northern NYS. This was for a bride whose wedding was under a tent in her Grandma's backyard, right on the lake on a picture perfect day. The cake was covered in buttercream, then the mountains were hand cut of fondant and painted with luster dusts and snowcapped with more BC. The brides dad made the birch stand.

My son and a couple of neighbor kids wanted me to make a cake. The deal was, I bake the cake - they decorate it! There were three kids, age 10, age 8 and age 7. I think they did a pretty good job on what they titled, "The Boonies Cake".

Chocolate chip cookie mountain on top of a marble cake with chocolate ganache filling, buttercream frosting, fondant trees, flowers and climber.

They had rented a giant rock climbing wall for the birthday party and wanted some kind of climbing cake. I saw this idea of the cookie mountain on the web about a year ago and thought it was interesting and saved the picture, so I knew just what kind of cake I was going to make!

Requested to match the napkins and plates already purchased for the guest of honor... client 'found' the horse cake pan and wanted me to use it. I ended up doing a chocolate mold and added it on top of a 2 layer sheet cake.

This was done for a bridal shower that was going to take place in the Adirondacks in upstate New York. Everything on the cake was edible with the exception of the yellow forcithia flowers (the bride to be's flowers for her wedding) The mountains and the canoe were made from fondant that I painted with chocolate and the rocks were edible candy. The boat carried a miniature wedding dress and rings.

I hope my friend likes the cake & feels it's an aproperate welcome home from Iraq cake.

This cake was created for a couple that got hitched in a meadow, by a pond, on a ranch in the mountains. The bride carried daisies and her wedding dress had tiny stonewashed denim bows going down the back.

Cake Measures: 10", 8", 6", 4". It is covered in MMF, dusted with luster dust and decorated with MMF daisies and pockets. (A close-up of this cake can be found in the Western/Cowboy Gallery Album)

This is a cake for my husband who loves his mountain bike. It is a 8 inch madeira covered in orange bc with mmf on top. I normally use shop bought fondant and this was my first try with making my own mmf. I found it a bit stiffer than the fondant I normally use but I think I will improve with pratice. Everything is edible except for the toothpick I used to hold the bike up. The bike is made out of flower paste and painted with colouring paste. The path is crushed cookies.

This is the second cake we made for my Brother-In-Law's Luau themed engagement party. It's a chocolate cake made from graduated sizes of round pans, with a "doll pan" for the top, carved to form a cone. The icing is various kinds of chocolate icing. The "lava" at the top is red candy-melts. There is a small shot-glass inside the crater. The addition of water and small chips of dry-ice yielded a smoldering volcano. (The “lean” of the cake is intentional to mimic a natural volcano.)

This cake celebrates the couples' love of mountains. Hand painted details depict evergreen trees and alpine flowers. The bride and groom topper is sculpted from sugar and features the couple wearing sugar "snowshoes".
