I made these cakes for my sister's wedding rehearsal dinner,  The wedding colors were cream and gold and the theme incorporated their monogram.  I used vanilla cookies for the cake bases.

Iced with cream cheese!  I have learned my lesson. DO NOT TRY THIS ONE AGAIN!  The color faded a bit over night.

This 7", 10", 13", 16" square wedding cake was entirely done in red velvet cake with creme cheese frosting.  The bride's colors were off white, white, and deep red.  In order to enhance the effect, I used a white dotted swiss accents and borders on the off white creme cheese icing.  The roses were place between the layers to hide the pillars.  I do not usually work in creme cheese for wedding cakes, but after experimenting with my recipes I finally found the right combination for stability.

Understated polish, this cake is highlighted by a monogram made from sugar flowers and berries. The embossed dot pattern reflects the embossed design found on the wedding invitations.

I couldn't wait to do this cake! The colours were so vivid. I used Americolor Burgundy and Wilton Chocolate Brown to get the perfect Merlot colour to match the couple's wedding invites. Their mongram is handwiting in royal icing on a curved gumpaste disc...center tier. The most complicated monogram I've EVER seen..hahaha!

I designed it from 3 other cake photos the bride brought in to the consultation. We took the top tier from one cake, the bottom from another and the middle from a third cake.

5 round tiers: 6, 8, 10, 12 & 14. Fondant covering, edible beads as border, diamond design. Calla lilies and roses cascading down the cake. Glass monogram: K & F. Thanks for looking!

I don't think I ever got satisfied with this cake!  I loved the decoration, but the color of the ivory just got darker and darker.  The silk flowers were a little darker than I had imagined they would be, but they looked great with the bride's dress! :o)  My first monogram on a cake and I thought it turned out nicely to be my first!

Gifts for the rehersal dinner guests for a client. 

Cookie flavour is No-Fail with fresh lemon zest, organic dried rose petals & a tablespoon of rose water.

This cake is flying to Puerto Rico today to celebrate my uncle's wedding anniversary tomorrow. The filling is my usual favorite; Almond scented cake with Amaretto Espresso filling. Made a 4, 6 & 8" all covered in fondant. Red gumpaste roses. Used beads bought at a craftstore for the monogram...Much easier than I thought!

This was for my nephew's future in-laws.  The cake is WASC with chocolate mousse filling and almond buttercream icing.  The pearls are handmade from fondant as are all the decorations on the cake.  First attempt at a monogram-gotta try that again.

We started this cake 2 weeks ago! Based on a Colette Peters cake. (Bride brought us the photo.) 
My partner Ana created the unbelievable pastillage vase with the flowers on top. It was about 7" in height and 1/4 the cost of the finished cake!
I used the couples' monogram of the letter "B" to make a central plaque in gumpaste and small snowflakes around the base tier. Edible sugar pearls, fondant pearls and irridescent "Snowflake" powder galore!

Cake was 4 huge tiers, each 6" height

I did these for an anniversary party.  They had them on plates around the buffet.  They are pretty easy, and look great.

Never having used cream cheese icing this grooms cake was an adventure.   Carrot Cake requres it.  Would you believe I decorated this cake in my refrigerator.  Thankfully I have a side by side with pull out shelves.  It took me forever before I came upon doing it there.

This is my 2nd stacked cake ever, and I thought it was OK. I was butter cream on the bottom, MMF on the top, cany clay letters with lustre dust. THe GIANT peony on top was the mother of the brides idea, I maybe would have done something different. THe brides choice of flowers for the wdding was obviously peonies. The Bride and the MOB both loved it, so I guess that's what counts. It is definately not what I envisioned though.

This is a close up of the topper made for the Nieves Anniversary cake. These were all made with gum paste and the monogram with Crystals purchased at a craft store.

I was given a picture off of the modern Bride website and asked if I could do it. I thought that it looked simple but elegant so I took the job. Boy was I wrong. It took me weeks to figure out how to stamp the letterson it, and it was my 1st attempt with fondant, and stacked construction. The top was their monogrammed initials, the 2nd said Love and laughter, the 3rd said Happily ever after.  Oh, and the bow, ended up not being edible, that was a disaster, but I only charged $150. I almost went in the hole.

This is my first attempt at a two-layer cake (besides Wilton Class, almost 10 years ago-LOL!). Made for my friend's bridal shower - theme is daisies. 12" chocolate base layer, with chocolate Wilton soccer ball cake on top. Thanks for looking :)

Four Layers of crazy wedding cake construction. 
The bottom and top layers are red velvet with cream cheese icing/filling and the two middle layers are vanilla cake with buttercream icing/filling. The whole outside of the cake was covered in Marshmallow Fondant and buttercream decorations. I wouldn't say it's completely professional quality, but for my first time dealing with the fondant and working 46 hrs last week...I was happy :) and so were the guests!!!!

Made these cookies to go along with Briget and Michaels cakes.  This is only the second time doing royal iced sugar cookies but I think they turned out pretty well.  My 18 month old sure liked the taste of about half of what was supposed to go to the customer.  Man he is a garbage disposal!

This couple was married in Mexico last week, but had their reception back in Vancouver this weekend. I boxed 200 of these cookies and sent them with her Toronto guests as their carry-on luggage on the plane ride there!

This is a german chocolate cake for my soon to be daughter-in-law- brother's wedding.  He loves german chocolate, especially the homemade butter pecan frosting.

I was disappointed in this one.  I was doing this entire reception, the food & centerpieces & music, etc.  So the cake didn't get much of my time & it really shows.  Fortunately no one cared & it was absolutly delicious.  Key lime with apricot mango spread & white chocolate key lime mousse filling.  Plus one of my other customers saw it & like it so much she bought it & I get to make it again & take my time with it.  You never know.

This buttercream creation was a mixture of round and petal shaped cakes.  The dimension were 6" scallop, 8" round, 12" scallop and 15" round.  The cake was then accented with a monogram topper and fresh flowers provided by the bride.

this is a 12" and 8" square tiered cake with one layer of each chocolate and white cake with a raspberry filling.  Frosted in buttercream with the monogram being done on a fondant circle and royal icing letters. I rolled a small piece of parchment up and tied with blk ribbon.  tah-dah!

Done in their wedding colours of sage green and white. Were SUPPOSED to be sage green backgrounds with white writing...but I did them the opposite by accident! Argh!! The couple were happy anyway, thank goodness!

Cupcakes with roses are french vanilla with raspberry BC filling.  Those with daisies are double coconut with key lime BC filling.  This is my first cupcake wedding and I have decided I LOVE doing these!

I did these cupcakes for a baby shower last weekend.  The little girl's name is Elyssa.  I took the ideas from this site, so thanks!  Everything was pink and green.  I used IMBC and raspberry cheesecake mousse and pistachio mousse.  Thanks for looking!

I made this cake for a friend who just had her first baby-a little girl.  I love the way my bow turned out!!  It's a spice cake with cream cheese frosting.  The new parents loved it!
