Thomas had two first birthay parties because one of his grandmas was going to be overseas for the actual event. This cake was for the party before his actual birthday and it's the first cake I'd made in nine years.

The design is from the 1997 Wilton yearbook. I didn't use fondant because my husband dislikes its taste. The "fireworks" are tip 13 stars on florist wire inserted into flower spikes.

Thomas had two "first birthday" parties. This cake was for the actual date. I took the design from the cake I'd made for his first party and adapted it for an eight-inch cake.

This was my son's 1st birthday cake, it is 2 11x15 put together, half chocolate fudge, and half french vanilla. This is my 1st time doing a buttercream cake and a cake of this size. I had fun and was peased with the outcome.

This was for my 2 year old for Christmas. The black portions are chocolate buttercream, the rest is regular buttercream.

My brother asked that I make a special cake for the birthday party. I figured, since they went with a Minnie Mouse theme, I would make Mickey Mouse Ear Hat. I used the Ball pan and cardboard for the ears. I then covered the entire thing with Lemon flavored butter cream. It was a big hit. My niece had so much fun destroying it.

8 inch square cut up to make block name message. This is for a 1st birthday. The number 1 candle will be placed on the middle block for the boy's smash cake. Mickey Mouse is piping gel transfer, then freehand.

This cake was done for my girlfriend who was leaving the Air Force and going back to the states. I'm going to miss her very much. I did Mickey because she, even at the age of 34y/o has an unnatural affection for Mickey Mouse. Her house is almost completed decorated with Mickey and Clowns. She doesn't like Minnie, though. I think she's jealous cause she wants Mickey all to herself. She refers to Minnie as that B!%*H! Red Velvet (always leaves crumbs) w/ white chocolate cream cheese frosting.

Mickey Mouse cookies with Toba's glace icing. My first attempt. At first I thought 'I don't need to outline first........NOT!' It was really fun to work with and do different designs. DH thought I was a little crazy when I got so excited about pulling the toothpick through to make the designs!

This family celebrates every majoy family event at Disney World, so I had the privelege of making the cake for a 50th wedding anniversary!! It is a 10" square with an 8" round - white almond with strawberry buttercream filling. The icing is buttercream with fondant ribbon, and gumpaste flowers. Could there be anything better to celebrate than a 50th anniversary at Disney?

While technically my mom is a senior citizen, she is a Mickey mouse fiend! She of course loved it. I torted this and put raspberry filling in it (white cake). I bought the black and red frosting, CHEATED!

Chocolate cake w/BC & BC Frozen Transfer. I learned quite a bit with this one. Mainly 1-Don't airbursh on cold icing, it causes beading. 2- Don't use store bought chocolate icing to make black when doing the Frozen Transfer, it doesn't work well.

Twins that LOVE this mouse wanted special cookies for party favors. Mom used some of them to decorate the ice-cream cake, too.

This was a going away cake for someone in our office. Her two favorite things are the Dallas Cowboys and Mickey Mouse, so this is what I came up with. It was fun to do! It's all MMF. The helmet is 2 six inch rounds with half a sports ball pan on top, and I carved the bottom to shape like a helmet, and Mickey is half a sports ball pan with ears made out of foam core and covered in MMF. The mask on the football is fondant-it's not very realistic but I was sooooo limited on time. It was a big hit!

Another cake a co-worker asked me to do 11 years ago when I was just playing around with decorating. I am trying to get all my pics in one place. Blurry pic is due to the old fashioned 35 mm camera.

This was a BIG cake!!! Whole head is made of chocolate. Got idea from Wilton Book. The 2 year old LOVED it! The cake was as big as he was. He sat on the table by it's side the whole party. I love those kinds of reactions.

I made this cake for my son's birthday after getting great ideas for the forum here! Thanks! The brooms are made from fondant and pretzels. (The mickey figurine is the only thing not edible.) What fun!

I made this for my neice. Mickey Mouse is one of her fave characters. I remember when I arrived at my sister in laws house no body could believe I made the cake myself. Mickey is drawn freehand using a couple of cups. One large one for the head and smaller fir the ears.
