Chocolate fudge cake with chocolate cream filling and iced in buttercream. Decorations are candy and brushed with luster dusts. Just a quick cake! My husband asked me to make a cake for him to take to work. He is a RN so this is what I came up with.

Sheet cake with a fondant Doctor's bag on top. I took a sheet cake & cut it into 3 parts & layered them, then froze it & carved & crumb coated while frozen. Then covered in fondant. I painted it while still thawing so the fondant was wet & the brush marks showed. I thought it turned out well. Bought a chocolate mold of doctor's equipment & used fondant pressed into it for the tools.

Everything you see is fondant except the name badge. I was going to get an edible image printed but it would have cost too much so I just used paper on a fondant cutout.

My aunt commissioned me to make this big cookie for my sister who is a dermatologist. I had to do a rash. It cracks me up. Gross! Toba Garrett's butter cookie with her Glace' icing, Martha's meringue royal and Satin Ice fondant bag.

This cake was for a high school graduate who will be attending Baylor University pre-med and then will finish at Baylor Medical School. The cake is a 9x13 iced in buttercream with Baylor's colors and emblem. The diploma and the stethescope are made of marshmallow fondant. The stethescope was also "painted" with a mixture of silver luster dust and lemon extract.

My acting supervisor in my dept. at the hospital was leaving so I made him a cake. It was a shaped yellow cake to look like lungs. It was filled and covered in buttercream then covered in MMF.. The stethoscope and all the other pieces were made of MMF and luster dusts. Got alot of laughs.

Just got back from delivering the cake. It was for an Intern that completed his residency and was moving on to be a doctor somewhere in the Midwest. They L-O-V-E-D the cake!!! I wish I had more time to do more details, but I just got the request and had to act fast. Anyway, it was still a hit! Yippee!! It only took 3 hours as I baked while I made the stethoscope and bag handle (which, by the way, I think I made too big!) Oh well!.

The writing says "40 isn't anything a shot won't cure". Our Deputy Chief of EMS turned 40, and of course, we had to rub it in! Used the Little Hero pan and mimicked the police officer instructions.

This cake is for a dermatologist's 50th birthday. 10 inch layers of chocolate and yellow cakes with IMBC filling and crumb coat. I used Penitinice fondant for the first time and I enjoyed working with it. All fondant outer coating. The middle "hair" is a candle.

This is a very direct copy of a Colette Peters cake. It's Appreciation Week at our ped's office and it's my turn on Tuesday to take something in for the docs/nurses/assistants/etc. This cake was a lot of firsts for me (gum-tex, carving, luster dust, etc.), so it was a little tough, but overall I'm pleased. The med. cup and the note are the only things non-edible.

This is one of two cakes for our local Hospital for monthly birthdays. I made two of these. They are 1/2 white and 1/2 chocolate iced with BC and decorated with FBCT clipboard and royal color flow other items. I tried the best of both worlds. Each cake is equal amounts box cake and scratch cake.

Made this for an EMT class. 12" square, Star of Life FBCT with cardiac rhythm piped in bc around the sides and a fondant stethoscope. This was last minute, made it last night for class this a.m. The FBCT cracked before I put it on - it covered the whole top of the cake so it was large and was only in the freezer for a couple of hours. I wish the transfer was neater and as always the icing smoother. But overall I was happy with how it came out. Chocolate cake, cookies & cream filling.

This cake was made for one of our Dr's who was retiring unexpectedly. The cake was pound cake for the bag. covered in chocolate MMF. The sheet cake was choclate mint, bananna, and Snikerdoodle cake (did not like the Snikerdoodle cake). All the details where made off gumpaste and MMF mixed. Thank you to CC member Gingersoave for her beautiful cake which I used as a guild!

This cake was made for a friend's nursing school graduation. All of the pieces on the cake were made using a medical-themed chocolate mold but I used fondant to shape the pieces. Each side has different medical instruments. On the sides I made a capsule and a round scored pill as well.
