the guest of honor likes the Mary Engelbreit's theme with her flowers and style and so I made the cake to match that. The square cake is MM Fondant colored pale blue, the trim is made with fondant and I used the green Wilton writers (like a marker) for the checks. The flowers and writing all buttercream.

This was for my cousin, I wish I could add the picture with her, since the Princess on the cake looks a lot like her, which was my goal. We wanted a Mary Engelbreit cake, but my cousin is sooo skinny! So, I wasn't sure if this figure really looked "ME"... but I thought it turned-out cute. I loved doing these flowers, which are definitely not the norm & the cherrie clusters were so fun! Thanks for looking!

Here is my attempt at Mary Engelbreit theme. The crown ended up bigger then I wanted but they liked the cake so I guess that's what matters.

My checkerboard didn't come out even, which was a bummer, but this is only the third time I've worked with fondant, so I really can't be too disappointed with how it came out. I made it for my grandma who taught me to decorate my first cake when I was little.

I have a friend who sells Mary Kay and Creative Memories. So I created something to match her interests. She loves chocolate so the cake is chocolate and iced in white chocolate buttercream. The scrapbook pages, letters and embellishments are fondant.

This is two 12x18 sheetcakes put together as one. Sadly many Catholic churches are closing. This was the last social for St. Mary's in Rowley, MA.

This is Maryweather from Sleeping Beauty. My sister asked me to do her for a friends birthday. This is my first frozen BC transfer. Any ideas on how to make it not look so thick on the cake? Also I tried the Americolor I just got and the color seperated from the frosting and left streeks, any ideas why this would happen? I am new at all this.

This cake could easily be done for a Bridal Shower. The designs are to mimick those in the Mary Kay catalog shown.

I was asked to do a cake for a lady that had moved up a level with Mary Kay. They were having a celebration party. She wanted the old pink cadillac on the cake and trimmed in pink.

This is a cake I did for a Ladies Meeting at my Church. I wasn't sure where to put it. The picture was a FBCT of Our Lady of Sorrows. You can't really see it in the picture but I had rosaries piped on to the side of the cake.

This is a 4" stacked on a 7" iced in buttercream with fondant flowers. The crown is gumpaste (got the pattern from the ME website). The checkerboard pattern is airbrushed onto the buttercream (not as hard as I thought, but had some small overspray issues on one side. Cake was for a customer celebrating her mom & sister's birthdays, so the other side says "Princess of Quite Alot" on rice paper image to balance out the "Queen of Everything"logo on the front side. Sides of cake have cherry decor.

This was one of my entries into the OK sugar arts show. It is a duplicate of my very first cake but it mini. It is a dummy cake cover in MMF with Wilton Fondant accents. I placed 2nd in my division for it and hear that it is in the Jan/Feb 07 issue of Mailbox news, which is all very exciting to me.

This cake was for my sister who is a MK Consultant. Strawberry 1/4 sheet cut in half to make double layer with BC frosting. The entire cake is a FBCT, to resemble their product bags.
She Loved it!

I got this idea (the pink with brown piping) from someone on here. I thought that the colors and everything were so beautiful, and I was just waiting on a chnace to do one. So I got an order for a Mary Kay party. There color is pink and this was perfect for them. Frosted in pink BC with VERY DARK brown. Letters and rosed made out of MMF and painted with super pearl. By the way, the letters didn't have enough time to dry so I had to rig them up with wire and toothpicks, which is why they are so BLAH!!!!!!!!!

I had a left over layer of cake so I decided to play. I decorated this in the Mary Englebreit style in honor of my Moms birthday coming up..(its too expensive to ship one to her). I like it. Never done a wedge cake before. It was fun

My mom's church held a Mother's Day Tea. Design concept centers around the Blessed Virgin- with gold crown, rosary , roses. Also included on the base is the quote, "You are all my children." This quote is from a visitation by the Blessed Mother in Medjugorje.

I made this for my sister's baby shower(she's having twins!) She requested fall colors- the theme was Little Punkins. The cake is butter pecan with caramel toffee pecan filling. This was my first fully fondant covered cake! I was terrified and excited to do it for her. I got many ideas from several diff cakes on this site- thanks ya'll!

This is a gingerbread stable and fondant figures. The stable is 22 inches wide, 16 inches deep and 16 inches high. The figures are 9 inches tall (Joseph is). It was one of those, "please don't fall over" pieces that you are praying while putting it together.

This is the cake I did for my daughter's Christmas party at school. The original design was in a Wilton yearbook and had the three wisemen as well. I had planned on including the wisemen, but as you can see, I did not have enough room on the cake. All of the kids loved it, and my daughter was so proud. She told everyone, "my mom made the cake."

Made this for the children's church's Birthday Party for Jesus. The idea was borrowed from Eight, so I take no credit for the design. The humans, stars and cow are all fondant, and the cakes are all iced in chocolate and vanilla BC. The dirt path is crushed Nilla wafers, the stable and manger are made from pretzel sticks with fondant boards, the straw is dyed coconut shavings, and the sheep are fondant bases with BC "wool." Aine2's hands tutorial was INVALUABLE in making this. Seriously.

Made this for my Mary Kay Party. Wanted it to be plain, but when I wrote on top, it just needed something extra, so I put the gerber daisy.
