This was a 12 x 18 sheet cake with one side was french vanilla and the other chocolate fudge. The cake was icing in buttercream but all the magic theme items were royal icing. The letters were made with candy melts. I used Betty Crocker spray can yellow on the top of the cake. Then I added some sparkle dust near the letters and the wand. This was my first time making things other than letters and sugar cookies with royal icing. I had a blast designing this and it seemed faster than making a BCT. Maybe because I did the decorations days before the cake was due and all I had to do that day was ice the cake and place the decorations on it.

Couldn't quite find the right cutter to use for this little boy's party all about his love for magic, so I copied a simple rabbit/magician's hat/wand design I found online onto a cookie.

I have started working with an Event Organizer who does Fairy and Wizard parties. I have to come up with a few ideas and thought this would be a good "simple" cake. It's the first time I tried MMF and I will never do that again. Wiltons fondant taste bad but is a lot easier for me to work with. I only covered the cake in the MMF - the wizard is from Wilton fondant. I do mix it with som gum t.

Red velvet cake with crusting cream cheese icing and fondant accents. Found the wizard pan at a thrift shop for $2 and had to make it for my dad who loves this kind of thing. The magic ball was made with the insert from my bake and fill pans and covered in marbled fondant. Thanks for looking.

This cake was a challenge. Had tons of trouble with the ears.( too much frosting) and keeping it secure. The brim and the hat is made from a chocolate wrap. During travel I thought the head would bounce off!! The inspiration came from cc members. Thanks

These are covered in royal icing, and the stars are fondant made with "Wilton star cut outs" cutters. The icing is really purple, but for some reason it came out blue on the picture. I used the harry potter wizard hat cookie cutter for the cookie

The cake is two 2 layer 8 inch chocolate madeira covered in chocolate bc and fondant. The rabbit is made out of rice crispies covered in choc bc and fondant with some spaghetti holding its ears up. It was a nightmare trying not to stain the white fondant with chocolate bc! I do not feel this is one of my better cakes, but as long as the child likes it that is the main thing (I will find out tomorrow). I took inspiration from Rosiecakes and my son's magic set.

The cauldron is 8" cakes stacked and covered in MMF. The green slime is BC and everything else is made out of MMF. I used the Hocus Pocus cake from the Debbie Brown Magical Cakes book as an inspiration for the witch. My kids requested the eyeballs!
