I used the pirate ship birthday cake kit to make this for my son's best friends birthday last weekend. I was in a hurry and would have done some things differently, starting with adding more heigth to the bow of the ship and more detail such as windows and "water" to hide the tin foil covered cake board. Overall, I'm pleased, and the three year old boy who recieved it was over the moon.

Here's a pic of the girls birthday cake. I had to scrap my orig. idea because I was having problems with the drop flowers. (I tried to upload a pic that had all the MLP on the left cropped out, but the pic wasn't showing up)

A three tier cake..each tier was 2 cakes deep...
A totally edible cake ...everything modelled with mexican modelling paste and dusted with various lustre dusts..
The water effect on the board and cake tiers was done with paste colour mixes with paintig solution and glitter and then dabbed onto the cake..
It took forever ariel and flounder took the most time but it was for my little girls birthday yesterday so I didnt mind...Worth it all the kids loved it

This was for a little girls b-day. It was my second attempt at this cake. I added a mud pit for the pig and had a pond in the back for the duck. You can see some of the pond in the left corner.

Yellow sour cream cake with dulce de leche filling, covered with mmf and painted with luster dust, chocolate seashells and edible rocks. I made a chocolate transfer but it broke :( , so I had to run to the toy store to get an ariel doll and all I could find was the baby ariel, my dd cut out an image of ariel just in case and I decided to use both. I think it turrned out nice and I want to thank newtocakes for her help and inspiration.

This was my first "3" doll cakes. I used the wondermold pan and then carved down some 8" rounds underneath the wondermold. The little girl told me what colors each doll was suppose to wear. They were oreo cake with cookies and cream filling, chocolate with white mousse, and white with chocolate mousse. The little girl loved them, but asked her mom if they were going to eat her dolls too, lol!

Done for my friends 21st birthday, it was a Chicken Little theme party. Beer bottles falling from the sky instead of acorns. ( I wasn't sure if I should post it under children's cakes or not, it anyone thinks I should change it let me know.)
