I made this for my friend's daughters 4th birthday. After frosting the entire cake, I made my own stencil for the pony's body and used Wilton's blue spray to color it. Then I outlined all the details in black and filled everything in with a variety of tips and finished it off with a couple of cute butterflies and cake sprinkles.

Chocolate 1/2 sheet with buttercream frosting and decorations. Pony was traced on frosting with toothpick and filled in. This is my first attempt at a reverse shell border. The plastic figurines were stuck on by the mom after I left the cake.

The more I do these FBCT's, the more I love them! If you haven't tried them yet, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

Made for my niece's 6th birthday. Castle is a 3 layer 8" devils' food cake square base w/ chocolate pudding and a 4 layer 6" butter yellow cake w/ bavarian creme filling. Turrets are cake cone bottoms and sugar cone tops, filled with Hershey kisses, covered in fondant and cake sparkles. Castle is covered in MMF, with BC accents.

In hindsight, I would have changed a few things, but the birthday girl liked it, so I guess that's all that matters.

This was for a 4 years old girl. They wanted something with my little pony theme and to the top they wanted whipped cream. I think the muzzle (? nose?) is too big and mouth is weird, but they loved it. I covered the head with BC first and the pipings are BC (all butter). Actually there were 4 roses, but my hubby was too quick to take a picture. Inside there is rasberry/blueberry jello, vanillasauce and pearjello+slices. I baked a 2 litres pyrex bowl and 7" round cake. Fixed them together. Ears are cookies.

I made this cake for my friend's daughter. I got the picture from the invitation that she sent me. It was my first time doing anything like this, I had a lot of fun.

This is a different version of my My Little Pony cake. I used stars on the whole thing instead of smooth icing on the cake. I think I like the other way better but this turned out okay, I guess.

I used one of her my little pony toys as inspiration for this cake. The decorations are fondant & royal, the cake is Toba Garet's Chocolate Fudge recipe, with Cookies & Cream Filling, iced first in Wilton's Buttercream then MMF.

This is 'Cupcake', and I actually researched to make sure I did her in the right colors. (okay, I might be a little obsessive...) Used my airbrush to do the rainbow, pony is a FBCT. The pony and rainbow also both have sparkles, but they never show up in pics.

One of my first paid cakes. All cream cheese icing. I was going to make a pretzel fence, but ran out of room LOL. The rainbow colors from this cake is what I used for my two color roses cake.

This is my first time using FBCT. It worked out pretty well. I wish the outer edges had blended a little more w/ the cake though.... anyway, also tried upside down icing technique - didn't work. VIVA RULES!

FBCT of Rainbow Dash. I do not like Wilton Royal Blue color. It doesn't mix well and always leaves blue dots. But, for this cake it had a nice effect. 1/2 sheet cake, all buttercream, half yellow, half chocolate.

This is a cake I made for my daughters birthday last year. I used a Wilton cake pan I've had for years and just copied her favorite My Little Pony. She loved it and her friend wants one this year

Okay this is my attempt at the MLP cake from Debbie Brown's Lovable Character's book.... let's just say I'm not gonna put her out of business any time soon! I was trying to use rolled buttercream for everything and I'm not quite sure how to work with it yet so I was getting frustrated. The ponies peeking out of the windows are a little creepy looking - I had given up at that point and just tried to make "something" to fit in the windows.... all in all I think it turned out okay.

I made this for my daughter's 4th Birthday. It is a My Little Pony cake I made using the Wilton Precious Pony pan. It is modeled after the pony Fluttershy, since Fluttershy has a pink body and she wanted a pink MLP.

FBCT with buttercream icing. Fondant flower cut outs on the side. This cake was for my niece. I wish I could figure out how to get the icing in the fbct smoother.

I have decided to try and sell my cakes. From what I've learned on CC, the best way to drum up business is to give away free cakes and leave your business cards w/them. This is for the Pediatric unti at my local hospital. CCC w/whipped cream BC. Pony is BCT.

I wasn't pleased w/the little lines in this transfer, so after I posted this pic, I Viva'd it. I'd read this in an old post. Worked perfectly! Will remember this next time and do it before I put the border on!

This cake is decorated mostly with airbrush, then I went back and piped on the little ponies and drew a few outlines w/MMBC. The rainbow had clear sparkles and the tree had purple glitter, but that never shows up in pics. Thanks for looking!

I have come to realize that when you really focus and take time with FBCTs, they turn out well. I was very pleased with how this turned out. So was the girl it was for.
